Unless the rules have changed, but, last i knew no team could run this years cars apart from filming days. Which is only a couple per year.

take a good look at the pictures posted and video of Seb crashing the car's front wind during the presentation.....IT IS THIS YEAR'S CAR THEY WERE RUNNING
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Anything so far about Ferrari bringing aero updates @jgonzalesm6 ?
its been awhile i think since silverstone or maybe when they tried that new exhaust position in germany and it apparently didnt give correlating results

Mercedes and Ferrari both brought their last penalty-free engines of the season and the Silver Arrows team chief believes the "performance race" will decide who wins the title.

"I would hope we have innovations on the car and on the engine," Wolff continued.

"Monza should be another good upgrade that we'll put on the car and this is a performance race that will be the difference between winning and losing this championship."

Why don’t you calm down first ??? Do u want upgrades or race wins ??? It’s been proved a lot many times this year, stay calm & watch the action on track. Ferrari delivered it.

He’s been talking spot like mr. Horner. Because mercs team are not used to this dominance from Ferrari in the past.
So saying all is not lost, we still have performance to unleash from the engine. That’s what is his comment.

On the other side, ferrari will not stay idle. It’s home race, factory is nearby so upgrades definetly on the way.
    They have Monza-spec RW ready.

I think Bottas will be used to give Hamilton a tow in Monza as every tenth will count in qualu which can be the difference between pole or P4

We need to be ready for this and if needed, Kimi needs to give Seb a tow

100% , time to make the decision, kimi has no chance realistically at wdc, they need to use him same way they been using bottas

It wasn’t Seb car anyway, it was kimi car and his steering wheel which apparently has the clutch on the other side and was the reason of the crash.

Mercedes using a different rear wing setup....for now. Everyone else mostly going for a low aero rear wing. This is the scrutineering phase today.

HAAS brought a new front wing......nothing big. Everyone else pretty much looks like a Spa setup.

Merc is mentioned to have 2 more upgrades for this weekend and Tito is sounding bullish when it comes to engine power. Sort of stating "Let's see if they still have a better engine" for this weekend. I hope we have a bit more juice to squeeze from the EVO3

I have'nt seen those upgrades (aero or PU)..................................yet. I did here Petronas will be making a "special" fuel for Mercedes. Whether that special fuel will make it's debut at Monza has yet to be read.

yeah when I read that yesterday I thought to myself that the Ferrari guys should do the same to him if he places in the top 3. Walk out. It won't happen I know being MONZA but he deserves it.

Well if you look at the rear wing the Merc had today it is definitely not the one they will be using. Too much down force (curved) besides they have the flexi package now and a lighter chassis.

Yup, wolff said they still have a lot of potential to squeeze out of their evo 3 as they just only started using it(as opposed to ferrari teams using it since hungary and already getting close to its max potential i assume) and they need to calibrate it etc whilst getting new fuel formula and oils,

so far from the cars built , new slots in the floor and some added detail by the bargeboards has been added for merc 99% sure, not sure if the rear wing is different just yet looks much thinner from the top view, but not sure. seems ferrari going with the low downforce rear wing used in spa and everything still the same since Hockenheim.

Atleast kimi and seb aren't getting a big head, as they say its very even right now and sometimes the ferrari is better and sometimes its not, also seb says not as dominant win at spa as some think. Which makes me happy since they know they are neck and neck and need to improve in every area.

Kimi says they are still equal and fair to race each other right now (unfortunately for the WDC)

no update on kimi contract just yet but it usually happens at monza

Sebastian Vettel is pleased that from Mercedes point to Ferrari as the strongest team of the moment, while evidence that the mark of the star is no longer believed the strongest of Formula 1. Even so, the German does not believe his condition of favorite and promises to work hard to win this weekend in the Italian Grand Prix, where he has not won since running for the Scuderia.
The superiority with which Ferrari controlled the Belgian GP reaffirmed Vettel's options in the title fight, but the Italians keep their feet on the ground. Maurizio Arrivabene recalls that Vettel is only second in the standings and has yet to overcome a deficit of 17 points compared to Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian pronounces himself in a very similar line, although he praises praise.

"It's good, they put us in that position, they-Mercedes- have put us in this position because they think they're not the top team anymore, it's good to compete against them, but we can not sleep or take anything in. We're not even near where they were these last five years, we have to work hard to get results, "says the four-time champion at the press conference of the FIA.

"It seems that - the car - works on all the tracks, some are better than others, we have a great car, but we can not sleep, we have to get results, both Kimi and I, and we have to keep working. feeling, being in this car and feeling that you can fight for the Pole and the victory, that's what I want as a pilot, the rest is better not to give it a lot of laps. "

In Monza he aspires to victory, although he does not take anything for granted. He believes that his superiority at Spa-Francorchamps was less than he seemed from the outside.

"I think we were less dominant than some people think, but we did it well, it's good to see we can improve the car, we have new parts, a new engine, Monza is similar to Spa in some way, but the track and the corners make it quite different, in the past we made good races here, we made podiums, but we want more than a podium. All the talk seems to be that we are favourites to win at Monza, and it worries me greatly. I don't want to be pessimistic but if we don't manage it, I am dreading the fall-out afterwards! Forza Ferrari of course, but too much hyping of our chances is dangerous!

Nowhere near the case, Mercedes is going to be strong here as they have always been. This hype has had me worrying as well. It's gonna be close.
