    2018 Singapore GP: Race

Turn 1 opening lap will be interesting between Lewis and Max. IF clean, let's see who reacts to the SC/VSC with regards to tire strats. Passing for the top 3 will be mostly in the pits.

It's not a gamble to say that a lot of talk and discussion during and after the race will be about who did benefit most from the SC/VSC periods that will happen. The race can be won or lost depending on when these periods happen. One early SC might mean two-stoppers. Two SCs will surely mean that. As for Ferrari's chances. Well, it's obviously better to be quick in S1 in the race than in S2 or S3 as you have chance to pass in S1 at Raffles Blvd and at the start/finish straight. But will it be enough or will it cancel out like most times in Austria and Hungary with those short straights? We really need to make up one place at the start with both cars or Max jumping Lewis.

I also don't rule out a red flag and a standing restart if someone crashes like Grosjean in Baku (should have been).

    About standing restarts in 2018.

    https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/13...-carnage-fears

"From 2018, restarts following red flag periods can be made from the grid, rather than from behind a safety car as has previously happened.

The choice over the procedure will be made by Whiting at the time of the stoppage and will depend on track conditions."

You can see Toto no more face shows from him. The circus has finished, and they are the winners on both championships.

Why do you want Seb and Kimi to crash into each other?

I did read somewhere that RB has a new spec C engine, more power it seems to have. Ricciardo must be happy now.

Oh well, let’s just concentrate on next year’s car and hopes. Maybe Charles inclusion will bring a positive change in the team’s chemistry. The last few years have been frustrating to say the least.

As far as today’s race, I anticipate a one lap roller derby where aside from the pole sitter, everybody will be at a very high risk of ending mangled up against the walls or each other.
