Without his horrid sector 1 (33.414) Vettel could've done 1:31.7.

    So:

    Sector 1: Mercedes 33.0, Ferrari 33.2
    Sector 2: Mercedes 31.2, Ferrari 31.4
    Sector 3: Mercedes 26.7, Ferrari 27.0

    Absolute beating from Mercedes.

Hopefully Vettel will challenge Lewis at the start.

If we can hold Lewis until the pit stop, we might still have a chance of beating him

i think you have to sacrifice either sector 1 or 2 to get hypers to last till the end in s3 with the ferrari

At least we got Ham 2nd and Seb 3rd. He might try something at the start. If Ham and Rai didn't mess up their laps it could have easily been Ham 1st and Seb 4th

Never in a million years, Bottas would rather throw his car into the wall than tangle with his team leader.

Even if somehow Seb would beat Lewis miraculously it's pretty clear he won't win the race as Bottas will do it then. Both championships will be over anyway if Bottas wins and Lewis is third.

Vettel will get toe from Bottas at the start so he has a chance to end up in P1 after lap1. He can't afford anymore **** up.

Im afraid that even if we jump both of them in the start, we will slip back again because they look so much faster.
I was a bit optimistic till Singapore (till Q2 more precisely) bacause we looked to be right there and even a bit faster then Merc. AND then from Q3 in Singapore its like they gained almost 0,5 s (or we lost that much) !!!!!!!So unfortunately nothing to hope any more. Now Ham and Merc have to commit suicide to lose both championships, and im pretty sure it ain't gonna happen! And to tell you the truth, even if it happens, im gonna exept it BUT im not gonna celebrate it like if the win it on pure performance!!!

Also kudos to Ocon and Leclerc, both are stars of today's qualifying. It will be an absolute travesty if Ocon ends up without a seat for next year.

Hope is the last thing you lose but for the WDC to be alive Seb has to win or Lewis has to DNF. For the WCC to alive we need a 1-2 or a Merc DNF (any of them). Then a 1-3 would be 22 points more and a 2-3 would be 8 points more compared to a Merc win. Basicly any other results with both Mercs in the higher points end both championships. Not theoretically but logically.

If, oh theres the famous word IF, Seb wins all rest of the races, Lewis finish 2nd, Seb will win WDC by 2 points.

I dont get why people here, again, get on here and start moaning about how its over. Its not over until its mathematically over. Think its too east to moan, and find thngs to moan about. Yes, it a massive ask, but hey . Anything can happen.

you're right Rob, anything can happen, what with safety cars and all. Heck even RBR could win the race.

It was already a huge task even when we supposedly had the fastest car. Now that it looks like we are behind and with a margin, how can you expect to win a race ,and more 5 of them ??!!! If you remember i use to be quiet optimistic because we had a fast car and could beat Merc in almost every track. But now that we are ending up more then half a sec behind, i reallly cant anticipate much !!!

Told you guys, i stop watching F1, less 1 viewer of this ***** F1, I wanna boycott F1 to let FOM/FIA know that their is so BIAS behind Ferrari, EVERY NEW INNOVATION THEY WILL SCRUTINIZED FERRARI FROM BATTERY TO CAMERA, EVERY RACING ACCIDENT THEY WILL PUNISH FERRARI, but when it comes to Mercedes, ITS ALL RACING INCIDENT and the FLEXY WING IT'S ALL LEGAL!, if it's in court, where's the JUSTICE???????? FIA wanna let HAMILTON win 7x 8-9-10x Champion ? so he can surpass Schumi, FIA want a new FRANCHISE PLAYER???? a new CASH COW PLAYER?

exactly....as you said,if we could not manage to beat the Merc with the faster car we had due to driver mistakes and team mistakes.....how on earth can we beat them in the last 6 races with what it seems we have a MUCH slower car given our quali pace????

i'm afraid that THIS SEASONS' OVER BOYS.....it's all done and dusted

the team should start focusing on 2019, as we have some small rule changes (much simpler front and rear wings) and would be nice to get a head start on Merc come next year
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Punishing Bottas at Spa after the race on a 1st lap incident comes to mind as being a punishment without consequences. Why do you need a whole race to decide on it? With Ferrari they are always very swift to hand it out.
