    Scarbs breaks it down......

the sidepod top surface rolls over to direct airflow under the Coke bottle shape, very Newey-esque , pushing more air pressure over the diffuser.

Slotted floor, a feature gaining in popularity last year and clearly going to be an area of huge development this year

    Nicely sculpted nose
    1 S-duct inlet
    2 S-duct outlet
3 Hump over front heave damper
4 sculpted undernose around turning vanes

The barge boards are lower, but are clearly incomplete as they can be placed much further forwards for 20 19

Small vanes cut into rear wing endplate crease

Lower mounted front suspension (orange) old suspension was outrigged above the wheel rim (yellow)

Last night, for whatever reason, the 2001 Austrian GP was in my youtube feed and I decided to watch it.... it was an interesting race, I guess my memory is pretty bad, I was 22 at the time and didn't remember Montoya taking MS off the track lol, he came back into 6th place and then was stuck behind Panis in the not so mighty BAR Honda... I had completely forgotten how hard it was to pass back then... I hope they don't mess up the formula this year and I hope we never go back to that either...
Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...

They look good, I still don’t like that they stopped using stitched patches. The printed emblems look cheaper by comparison yet they still charge an arm and a leg for any piece of “replica” team gear.

yup, totally have to agree with you on this.....i liked the stitched patches better myself
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

People tend to forget that and are blinded by the "good old days" sticker. Formula 1 has come a long way, as it should being the pinnacle of racing. I still have a few things that I would want different, like the sound of the engine or how cars are a lot easier to drive, at least some of them.

Side be side comparo of the RS18 vs RS19. I will say this, the floor needs work when compared to the VF19 and STR14. We might see a new floor during testing with all the slats and cutaways near the rear tire.

Agreed. It's overpriced and of lower quality.

I don't mind the logo next to the shield, but I really dislike the Mission Winnow across the chest. I would feel like a Marlboro billboard wearing it.

Vettel's cap looks cool, but the snaps in the back looks cheap and tacky, even though it's currently in fashion. I don't know why they couldn't go with fitted s/m and l/xl.

yeah, fitted caps look so much better; i have an older one with just a ferrari shield on it, adn absolutely LOVE it...it fits so nice and snug on my melon shaved head.....lol

Man the newer F1 cars are getting longer and longer lol.

If you look at the 70's, 90's, 00's and now the present how much longer they have become...

and wider too....yet old tracks remain the same width of the 70's, 90's and 00's.

Back in the day, they would start 3 wide...sometimes 4 wide.....just sayin. Not that F1 would go back to those width dimensions of old.

Imagine today F1 cars starting 3 wide!!!! the horror!!!

    Andy Cowell on the W10

" We've made changes to the cooling architecture of the Power Unit, which hopefully provide aerodynamic benefit on the car and also provide efficiency benefit on the Power Unit - so, hopefully a win on both the chassis and on the Power Unit."

"Right at the heart of the Power Unit is the conversion of fuel into heat release in the combustion chamber and useful work out of the crankshaft. We have made steps on the combustion efficiency and on the ERS system"

"The marriage between the turbocharger assembly with the MGU-H, the inverter, the cells and the MGU-K: that whole system is now capable of operating more efficiently and helping with energy deployment through a race."

"If you have got an efficient engine with efficient aerodynamics and you are prepared to do a little bit of lift and coasting, then you have the opportunity to start the race at less than 110kg."

"For every 5kg of weight you save, it's about two tenths of a second a lap quicker, so there is a natural reward to starting the race a little bit lighter."

"There is still a competitive edge from making an efficient car - both Power Unit and aerodynamics - and racing smartly to make sure that you have good pace at the start of the race as well as through the race."

Allison on the W10 (rear tires)

"We were still not as good as some of our competitors at preserving the performance of the rear tyres. We have worked hard on the suspension and aerodynamic characteristics to deliver a car that will be much kinder to its tyres......"

Looks like W10 has very slim sidepods! Just like the Ferrari! Much better than they had last season!
It looks very similar to last season car, but I think they will have tricks, and also they will have improved what they had.
Fingers crossed for us, hope we bring a car that can win, win from the start and that we will have big development program throughout the whole season and not run out of steam like last season!

Those black wheels...... Seems like the fronts got upgrades too not just the rear rims. Fact they coloured them black means they want to hide some details.

Sidepods almost non-existent, engine packaging tighter than Mercedes.
