could very well be. They're saying pressure related issue but no fuel sounds more likely

generally speaking.... the tires these years are not that durable... i have noticed this over and over again especially on the softer side of tires...after one flying lap..times keep coming down... not just by few tenths...

Most sites saying Seb did 78 laps. Still a great count considering.

    Edit- Ferrari’s twitter says 81!

If you compare with last years Ricciardo's time, they were super softs, so 2 steps harder. Keep in mind that this years tiers are a step softer, so lets say he had a .6 of an advantage in the tier compound, which is about .2 per sector, what they are saying is .6 second improvement, plus, this year, the change in regulations should be slower 1.5 second, lets say 1 second slower over a lap, so 1/3 of a lap, would .333 second, so Mercedes improved 1 seconds from last years best time from Red Bull????

It was a water coolant leak that stopped Charles this morning. Been confirmed on omnicorse page but they say that both Vettel and Charles are all smiles coz they know the car is great.

I don't know, everyone here says we're slow & eating tyres & not bringing any good updates. Merc cranked out superlative redesigns of their front wing & engine covers in 3 days between test 1 & 2 & Hamilton set a never before achieved S3 time. Got our butts kicked on the time sheets by... well... everyone!!!

They must be feeding tranquilizers to our pilots because it seems as though we are DOOMED.

And now they're gonna change to a redder red, right after I decided (after much deliberation) that I like the first one, grrrr!

Well, can't wait for day 2 to begin

I beg to differ, actually when you think of it Mercedes brought a new car's worth of upgrades whereas we have already done over 4000km on the actual aero spec, engine and overall package. That data is very precious and Mercedes has to start from scratch (except for engine and suspension data)

As far as i know, guys at Merc have said that they didn't want to bring any major upgrades to first test (sounds stupid). Just like WRX202 have said.. they lost a lot of testing on this upgrades. It's kind of funny how people are talking that Ferrari is not fast enough because of one day of testing.. I think we are still ahead and if you read all those comments from experts they are all saying Ferrari looks planted on track and that could only mean that we have a good car and that Seb and Charles didn't even try to push the car to its max potential. Hope we see some flying laps in last 3 days to shut down all that negativity about us not having fast enough car.

i think the car they brought yesterday is melbourne spec, so mainly better suited for DF similar to there singapore packages last year, i think by bahrain few of those bits and bobs will be off their car and parts will mixed between both weeks, obviously thats just what i think from what iv seen

Lots of laps by max on c3 and he is quite quick, i believe he set the 1:18:9 without having to refuel on his current ongoing stint (very consistent)

[AMuS] Alfa Romeo team boss Frédéric Vasseur tells us that Alfa are planning to do their race simulations on Thursday and Friday.

"At the moment we do longruns, but refuel in between times."

Considering that the lap times are more than respectable.
