according to marko's analysis last time after Aus, RB are closer to merc than ferrari if i remember correctly ,if seb or leclerc can somehow achieve better pace than max that would be really bad , max underperforming say it isnt so.. (just a yoke)

Yup...!! Also no one into optimum set-up.
FP2 session is the actual indication as race is set-up under same conditions.

I swear you guys are bipolar. One bad session in Australia and the world is ending, one good session in Bahrain and Ferrari are WCC.

Calm down, we all know the weekend can turn on a dime... in either direction.

There’s more time from all the teams. Top3 teams for sure.
Vettel’s FL S2 was compromised by traffic & missing the apex corner
Leclerc FL S3 went too wide
Ham’s FL S2 & S3 was horrible, he was sliding every where especially rear end of the car isn’t perfect.
Bottas FL S2 similar to vettel S2 missing the apex corner & rear end is sliding.
Max FL though it looked clean may be power was missing all the way.
Gasly’s FL, he was sliding similar to ham.

hopefully fp2 can give indication that we are closer than 0.8s to mercs and closer to RB in race pace, lots of work to do but so far so good.

saw seb saying yesterday that the reason why ferrari was fast in straights last year isnt because of some engine "trick" but because they sacrificed too much downforce to beable to get better top speeds, he said this year they lost the top speed because the plan is to get more of the downforce onto the car eventually. (something like that)

I wonder if they trimming off the DF similar to last year for this GP

Get use to it, the mood will change again if we have a bad session.

FP2 will be the most representative as it is at a similar time to what qualifying and the race will be. FP3 and FP1 are pointless metrics.

Vettel looks nothing like Mansell, more similar to Rosberg.
