It's amazing how Merc allows Bottas to race and beat out Lewis when he can get it done. Back when Todt and Ross worked for Shumy they would never think of giving Rubens a shot. Both cars at the time + Shumy's T car were about equal. No Ferrari fan want's to see Merc continue to rule in F-1 again this year, but they sure are being fair with their drivers. A Merc fan can have either driver as their favorite to win. Even R Bull let Max out do Dan for the #1 spot. Back then I was a Ferrari Rubens fan, the hatred was tremendous if I mentioned Rubens name ! Fans said, Rubens got paid; what else does he want? I'm sure Bottas gets paid well, what else does he want? Back to 2019, Ferrari for sure still has a shot.

I hate this "unwritten rule" nonsense about not passing in the final corner. Why compromise your own qualification lap for some gentleman's agreement.
Our strategies better be on point in 2019.

I think Ham will pass Bot at the start and sail off into the distance... unless they collide on first lap.

Where did Ferrari's pace go? Hopefully they will be faster during the race. But so far Bottas has been great this weekend.

    Weird what happend at RBR.

I always believe the opposite of what comes out of Mercedes camp and it's worked for me along with the media that spews the same rhetoric.

Bottas leads WDC, so he can show his elbows now, just like Nico did, so it is possible that they crash.

What do you guys think of this. Seb thinks pole was possible. I think it has something to do with releasing them into traffic. All the cars were really bunched up by the end.

Mercs topped every session except FP1, seems pole would have been tough.

I hope that desperation won't set in at Ferrari who were expected to beat Merc on quali pace, we all know never to trust Toto or the media, but this was disappointing and I hope our race pace can live with those Mercs. As always there are so many variables and now Max will be out to damage those around him, I am praying that the race will deliver us some satisfaction but I'm not holding my breath.

Hamilton was driving too slow on his outlap. As a consequence, RBR & Haas did not make on the chequered flag.

When Vettel says there’s more, I think it’s there. But somehow ferrari are getting it wrong.

In q1 ferrari sent their drivers in traffic, which kept Leclerc on backfoot.
    In q3 the same...!!

Also when seb saying “we know why”.... may be due to reliability they turned down the peak power??

I think he refers to mercs' party mode. IT must be maddening for him to know that without it he could have been on pole. One press on the button though and the Silver boys are away.. The Silver lining is that they cannot use it for the whole race as it would cause reliability problems.

Verstappen only 2 tenths behind Ferrari suggests that either Ferrari's setup was completely out of the window or aero is as bad as 2016. Something is wrong which Ferrari is yet to understand.
