Merc, Renault and others have added more rear wing angle for today, so looks like Ferrari had the right idea from the beginning.

With adding more rear wing maybe Mercedes will be a little bit slower on the straights. But will gain some perfomance back in S2. More downforce= better working the tyres and keeping them in the optimum temperature. What I am thinking of, new updates that give the car more downforce on paper worth 0,3s, can be worth even more because it gets you tyres working better, which could be crucial.

Merc running on mediums and so far under a second from us. Even here it's not looking like we will dominate sadly. We will be lucky to be evenly matched with them.

Ham got big tow in S3 (lost 0.08s instead of 0.3s). Will be tight in qualis, but expect Merc to pull through.

I hope the high-speed compromise pays off in qualy because Mercedes is quick in S1 and S3. Leclerc is on it though!

Charles looks as the faster driver today, Seb lacking some general pace. Wont be suprised if Leclerc takes the pole today.

Kimi was also usually faster than Seb on this track.

Not true, Seb was 0,3 faster in qualy in 2016, and then was very fast in the race, finishing second. 2017 Kimi managed to be 0,1 faster in qualy, in the race Seb was faster. 2018 Seb had pole, Kimi made a mistake in a race Seb dominated the field until the safety car came.

Kimi could have pole last year, without that mistake in S3.

Kimi definitely would have pole for that mistake cost him quite alot. Leclerc looks really good though. I heard Hamilton on the radio asking "what strat?" His engineer told him strat 3 so I wouldn't look too much into the times if anything Mercedes might be about 0.2 quicker!

Wooow! Ferrari and Charles just shut my mouth... Please, replicate this pace difference in quali. Or better... for the rest of the season.
