If memory serves, he was somewhere in the middle of the top 15 when he came into the weigh station. Everyone was going faster after that and they held him.

According to Corriere della Sera, Ferrari has snatched someone from Red Bull, who could prove to be fundamental in giving new life to their simulator. It's Marco Adurno, an expert in correlation of car dynamics, who will also take care of the development of the simulator.

Turrini also reports changes at Ferrari:

    • Alessandro Cinelli is no longer responsible for aerodynamic performance.

    • Giacomo Tortora is no longer responsible for the vehicle area (including the relationship with the tyres)

Fair enough, Binotto and team taking 100% of the blame for Leclercs elimination.

    Simulators

I pine for the days when if the car wasn't at a GP weekend it was pounding around Fiorano doing 0000s of laps

Yup, those were the good ol days, unfortunately we have to get with the program as do all the other top teams like Merc and red fools.....and that is getting on top of the simulator, CFD as well as wind tunnel.....these are the tools successful teams use, unfortunately we LACK big time in these areas, so much so we look like amateurs
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Ferrari needed to and did keep Charles off pole or anywhere ahead of Seb in quali. It's Monaco!! Charles' home!! Seb would never have recovered. He probably would fall down to 6th or 7th finishes the rest of the season. Look how he's doing with red carpet treatment so far! How was Charles' finish for 3rd practice! It's the car, the tires, not Charles the driver!

Poor Brembo, look what Ferrari's lack of performance did to him, lost his mental balance. Binotto should take responsibility for Brembo's recovery.

O K! And Charles lost his chance at pole! And now his mental balance is at stake. Seeing him getting out of his car and while walking away was enough to see he was off balance. A " No Charles pole or win @ Monaco " is probably written in Seb's contract!! It's like Austria 2002 revised!! Boring to repeat it , but true. Well at least there's hope that Max can reach out and stop Lewis from a win??

Charles taking pole in Monaco with SF90 & ferrari didn’t let him . I’ve read two hilarious posts from you, good laughing therapy for me early in the morning.

OK ! More hilarious is Seb coming near even 3rd! Charles being best in 3rd practice meant nothing. It's in Shumy Jrs. contract ; written up before he started driving for Ferrari. A Seb ,Stroll team would for sure merit Seb as #1 driver. OK there's my third hilarious post for you. There's always the pit stops to make sure Charles doesn't embarrass Seb's finish. I'm glad to have you laughing early before the race. Good therapy for sure !

    It's currently wet in Monaco.

Let's see if it's still wet in the race.

Chances for him are rain/Early SC. Other than that overtaking other car is huge risk here either crash or loose FW.
So Charles should be smart in when to attack & when to be cautious. I hope he does have a good race.

With probability of rain, it’s anyones game here. Such is the track.

Hope it’s wet because bored of seeing Mercs 1-2 finish this season.
Although there’s another 1-2 finish for them even in rain, we can expect some drama in race (crashes, FWs, wheel to wheel actions)

Agreed, rain tends to be the "equalizer".

If so, Max and Leclerc should prove promising.

I think Ferrari are taking all these risks due to Mercedes being so far ahead.
