Well, I guess Hamilton had to have 5 separate UNLIKELY things going hiw way to win, and the perfect storm then unfolded to gift him the win. Unbelievable, the guy is walking luck-machine.

Ferrari have said driving back to the pits would have caused more damage. It is obvious to presume they have access to the the relevant data.

    Also, “trash”? Grow up.

Why did Ferrari bring in both cars that quick? Vettel already had lost position to Charles. They had to be aware of a potential safety car on this track?

Mercedes are cheating trash with all things like the race control decisions always going their way, deciding which tyres Pirelli should bring to those 2018 races, Vettel's Canada penalty and all that. Come on. It's classic boardroom corruption to the tilt.

Because our tyres were done and losing time? Can't predict SC for goodness sake.

He was 20 metres OFF the track. Should I take a Google Earth screenshot to prove it?

I don't buy it. It's the slowest part of the track and the marshals don't need to be on the track there since he was parked 20 metres off the white line. It's also dry so zero risk for aquaplanning. It's not like he had a wheel on the circuit. It's an indefensible decision by the race control driven by corporate greed resulting in biases seen constantly ever since we became a threat to them in 2017. It already started with the shocking VSC in Barcelona '17.

Well, they could have sacrificed Vettel at the front, and kept him out to hold Lewis at bay, its impossible to overtake here, so that would protected a win for Leclerc, the broadcaster on TV suggested that was what Ferrari probably were doing before Vettel came in to pit.

Are we saying Merc and Lewis are lucky or finding fault with Ferrari other than reliability?

yup, our weakness all along..........a bit better but still miles away compared to merc pace in that sector
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Why should we do that? We are here to win not just to stop Lewis winning believe it or not.

    Few questions on strategy
    1) under SC ... they did pit again.
Instead of track position, they tried to go for the win

Let them race is the way to go. This is going to be ugly now. CL will always qualify better he's a rocket. Vettel is not doing too bad on race pace. If they are close on race day let them race there is no two minds about it! I recall merc asking Hamilton to let rosberg past Hamilton said to ask him to pass me on merit.

Merc has had the quicker race pace for the last 6 or 7 races. How do you know that since Merc was quicker on race pace at Spa and Monza, Lewis probably could have won these races by 30 seconds + if he had gotten past the Ferraris only. We had Seb to block HAM at spa to win by an inch. In singapore the indications were Mercs had the quicker race as well in clear in.

Its obvious Ferrari has improved, but since Merc has has the best race pace including tire preservation, we cant say Hamilton wont be quicker in free air. Obviously challenging for poles are a huge improvment, but it does not mean the Merc is not superior in the race if they get past us somehow.

question: if Charles had suffered the engine failure instead, would Seb have won the race?
because in Bahrain already it was the wrong guy who had the failure...
