Its obvious Ferrari has improved, but since Merc has has the best race pace including tire preservation, we cant say Hamilton wont be quicker in free air.
Well how do you know lol this is not Spa or Monza....

So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

In Bahrain no one was going to beat CL and today after the start I doubt anyone would beat vettel.

Maybe, not for certain, but he would have had a decent chance.

This is just the thing we didn't need, we shot ourselves in the foot with the strategy. Lec would have probably gone for more laps if he had been in the lead, maybe Seb's retirement would not have affected him. Well, crap.

I will disconnect from formula 1 now completely until the next race, just dont want so see HAM boasting about what an amazing race he drove, an epic win, how he is so blessed etc.

Obviously challenging for poles are a huge improvment, but it does not mean the Merc is not superior in the race if they get past us somehow.
Hamilton with the mediums, couldn't get close to either Charles or Vettel, both with 20+ lap soft tyres. Without that lucky VSC Hamilton would've finished P2 today.

Why don't you give up and admit that Ferrari was the faster car today.

Ferrari has had their number for a few races. I hope in suzuka they nail it on pole again and start 1-3 even. We can win the race from the front.

"A bit mean question from Kai Ebel to Seb questioning him about where he parked the car causing a VSC Vettel says he actually looked where it might be the best not to cause a SC/VSC. He said that he thought that was the best place, not to cause a damage to the team"

HAMs strategy was not to get close to the Ferraris, because it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to overtake anyway. Hamiltons plan was to preserve his tires ans cruise around. And then go long and hope for either VSC or Safety Car. And if that did not work he would put on fresh tires in the end and HAVE A GO. So no, its not possible to conclude the Ferraris were quicker on race pace, especially as the Merc had superior race pace the last 7 races.

I have to see the Ferraris win on race pace one race and and not by track position to even consider the Ferrari to be quicker come race time.

On these tracks where its impossible to overtake, winning qualy is enough obviously, well see on tracks were overtaking is actually possible.

But to be able to challenge Mercs and beat them in qualy is a massive step forward anyway.

so we potentially lost 2 wins because the failure occured on the wrong car, that is super frustrating.

    Charles Leclerc yesterday:

I had a set-up that was quite aggressive which was good for qualifying but not good enough for [the] race. So I tried to adopt that too and it seems to work and pays off for the race.
