^this....and because our wings have been "clipped off", we're NOT as fast on the straights as we used to be.....that's where we were making up/clawing back a lot of time lost in the corners....SAD BUT TRUE!!
I'm hoping that the SF1000 proves to be a championship winning car, maybe even a BEAST!!!

Sector 1 isn't a straight-line sector, the S curve is quite important. Sector 3 on the other hand is a straight-line sector, and Ferrari is faster than both Merc and RB there.

    Leclerc, unsurprisingly, out on mediums.

    Merc, RB out on SS

    Vettel still on garage,

They started questioning our speed what we where taking poles ??!!!!

Verstappen was almost 2 tenths slower than his Q2 lap. So it is not close. With a clean lap, he will be light years ahead.

Two big mistake laps from Charles, one from Seb. Major disappointment since on paper this track should be way better than Austin, but at least starting P2, he could potentially take the lead from the start and use track position. Charles has to stay out long enough that he holds the lead and then hope for a SC tomorrow.

Charles had the pace to be P2/P12 today but it wasn't to be. At least from a material standpoint it won't matter too much tomorrow since he'll be in the midfield regardless. Baffling decision not to take the penalty at Austin instead.

10 % chance of Vettel win tomorrow, otherwise all eggs in the Abu Dhabi basket.

Short track at 770 m asl evidently favours weaker engines and energy recovery systems a lot.
