The car is clearly reasonably quick in the corners we are losing nearly all our time on the straights. Binotto already said of the 1s loss in qualifying to merc nearly 7 tenths was down to power'. Now whether this is due to aerodynamic drag or as suspected the Technical Directive at the end of last season completely neutered the engine then I think we just have to accept it is what it is.

"Of the second, three-tenths in cornering, in what I was just speaking about. But then there is still seven-tenths on the power unit on the straights.'

Yeah get the F2004 out of storage Imagine that with proper slick tyres! Trouble is it wouldn't be able to do a full race distance even with a full tank

I think now it is safe to say that the new upgrades have made the car slower. If the new parts aren't working, what's the guarantee that Hungary parts will work? Car was supposed to change completely in Hungary, based on today's performance, it could well be that new upgrades in Hungary make the car even slower than today because there seems to be negative correlation between what they are developing and what is happening on track.

Sector times say otherwise. Ferrari 3 tenths slower in sector 1, 3 tenths slower in 2, and 4 tenths slower in 3.
So it's not just power, but lack of downforce as well.

Any speed traps available? Those MB powered cars are so fast, the 2 Italian GP's will be painful to watch

Vettel is struggling massively. To get the best possible result out of him, they need to remove all upgrades from his car and change it to last Friday spec.

I think ferrari better to ask Kimi “ to give our car back” & use that in the race.

Albon's Thai roots won't do him much good if he qualifies 7 tenths off Verstappen on such a short track or any track for that matter.

Well both of them got good cars, and both Lec and Vet were lapping faster on mediums during the race run....

And right now we are in the pits. Maybe we will do a Q3 run at the very last minutes.

Vettel is going out this season, imagine what Leclerc must be thinking, he has to drive the same car till the end of 2021.

Actually...pace with heavy fuel load isn't bad. The long run pace looks quite good compared to last week.
But the engine is lacking pick power, which is going to be quite painful during qualifying, no so much during race day.

Last full laps before the chequered flag Leclerc was faster than Verstappen on the race run mediums though verstappens were 6 laps older. We seem to have good pace on the mediums was the same in the last race.

Agreed. Looks like our party mode is what is missing.

So no additional Q runs in the last part of FP2? Vettel only drove on used mediums, complaining about the balance of his car. So did Hamilton, the only positive point
