A little under 4 hours at time of post.
It's not how start but how you finish.

If Charles can manage a top 5 finish in this race then that's a good haul from both races with 2nd and 5th considering how poor we were on pace, then hopefully the Hungarian upgrades are decent enough to push us back into the main fight.

    Leclerc on hards:

    1m16.566 (16.896--29.605--20.030)

I wonder what aero package he's driving with. Hopefully it's the new one.

Edit: Ok Leclerc with the new floor

1:16??? That’s long ways off pole isn’t it? That’s snail pace

a whole lot of testing to do, I hope we can see the real speed in FP2, teams are advised to set a fast time in FP2 because the Q could be cancelled tomorrow due to heave rain

Vettel is locking up in the exact same place on every lap as last Sunday's race so upgrades or setup changes haven't changed anything on his side at least. Maybe Leclerc is happier with the new floor.

Thanks, I was planning to skip FP2. Now I won't.

that is strange, I have read that Vettel suffered brake and damper issues during the race, that was why his car was all over the place. Should see a positive change now if true.

Yes I really like his start of 2020, seems to be "in the zone" and happy with the car. WDC 2020? I sure hope since we will not be a part of that.

Last week brundle said that it's just a track that bottas really likes, so I don't think it's anything more than that really. I certainly don't expect it to be something that is repeated the rest of the season, as much as we'd all like to see a power shift at merc.

So is it possible that we actually got some downgrades instead of upgrades??. Nah, not from Ferrari...could that be possible for the first time???

Hope it’s rains on race day too, this will mix up things & there’s at least a chance for our drivers.
Other than that I don’t see any chance. Mercs will & once again dominate.

P2 will tell us that as it has essentially become qualifying session because of tomorrow's rain.

I hope at least RBR can catch up for a good fight, Max is running with new FW and RW but not so impressive this far.

I don't get the clamour for rain, there's no evidence that our car is any better in the wet and it's not like we have a Rainmaster™ who can take advantage of the conditions.

Though I concede that rain would probably make the race more of a sceptical, that's of they're actually allowed to race and it's not just a safety car parade.

Really poor error from norris there by not slowing down and overtaking under yellow flags. Grid place penalty and penalty points. I know hamilton got points for crashing in to albon but did he get any for ignoring the yellows? He should have got them and that would be a race ban if not.

Even with those updates, car looks unstable

The question is does the new upgrades make them faster or slower?

Quite possibly there's no correlation between the what the computer simulation says and what is actually happening on track. It's something we've struggled with for years.

There is no saving grace this year, unlike last year when we had the best engine.
They can no longer hide behind the engine power advantage.
