So Racing Point have, over the winter break and through a pandemic, leap-frogged Renault, McLaren, Red Bull, and Ferrari and all is squeaky peaches? Even Brawn GP had the double diffuser.

Very good lap from Lec with mighty S3 !!!!!
Dont know if it's down to cars performance or just a super lap fron Lec (so he probably cant easily repeat such performance)

Both Vettel and Leclerc were neck to neck till the start of Sector 3 then for some reason Vettel lost half a second in last sector.

Vettel took different line in S3 compared to Lec. It was strange.

Yeh exactly. It looks exactly the same as last years Merc ,it has the same performance as last years Merc and they want to tell us that they designed the car themselves from just some pictures they have taken from last year !!!!?????!!!!!!!!!
    This is a total joke!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Only Charles between those Mercs, 4 of 5 first Mercs.
Think about that, Force India Stroll, Seb only 0. 3-4 slower.

If Racing point can copy from photos others can, not to race following year but as a base point to bridge the gap to Merc, have ready in CFD early as a base point and develop from there. If Ferrari turned up with a developed 2019 Merc clone Merc would be spitting fire and protesting like hell. Thing is it cannot be done because Racing Point and Merc have cheated by swapping the designs. Loads of teams would have done this if it was viable to copy a dominant car from photos. As for all the Smoke from Merc engines surely teams are looking at this and finding an angle to protest Merc. Merc do not want to be dragged into bad publicity so successful or not it would be great to drag the Merc name down onto controversy.

It's last years Mercedes. I don't think anybody is buying their "we designed it by looking at the pictures" bs anymore, they got direct access to Mercedes's drawing and wind tunnel data.

It's time for Ferrari and Red Bull to lodge a protest as well.

Christian Horner: Did they even take your name off now (off the jacket)?
Seb: Yeah Smiling face with open mouth and tightly-closed eyes
Christian Horner: That's a bit harsh!
    Are you alright?
    Seb: Yeah.

"The Scuderia. Net", Not "Vettel-lovefest. Net". Take your Vettel-Horner-Red Bull love triangle elsewhere.

Reports are coming in that a big upgrade for Ferrari is coming in Silverstone and it will take inspiration from Red Bull.

Ferrari is going to put those radiators and heat exchangers in a different place in the car. These will be a lot higher, to the concept of Red Bull Racing. The elements will be placed above the engine block to create more aerodynamic possibilities on the sides of the car. The airflow of the current Ferrari does not run well to the rear, because the radiators and heat exchangers are on the sides of the car.

I guess the German + British viewership tandem outweighs the Italian/German viewership benefits... but that's too simplistic... I'd really like to know what's going on behind the scenes....
I think it’s as simple as leadership. Leadership which is willing to fight tooth and nail for your team vs leadership which cuts tail and runs.

What gets me the most about the mark crowd is; if your mask works, why do I need to wear one?

Lec 4th in FP3... thats not too bad. Maybe this race isnt lost completely.
Plus FP2 seb was 1st in wet conditions. So hoping we can salvage something from this race.

But the grid looks like it will be mixed. which should add to the fun.
    Silently, like a shadow

Inspiration from a team that is showing balance issues and not taking inspiration from Merc who are at least half a second down the road from Red Bull. This year looks like one of Neweys off years, it's the curse of which stands in front of Merc as the main challenger, things just seem to not gel. If Racing Point really copied the Merc without Merc input would Ferrari not do the same but not build the car but develop the CAD copy? It's not an option I guess as most appreciate Merc gave them the design.

No mate, that IS the 2019 Merc just painted pink
Merc were probably scared that Ferrari would build a good car for 2020 and decided to give the Pink panther their 2019 Merc car in order to have a cushion over us just in case we would have built a good car......little did they know that we can’t build crap as of late.....oh well looking forward to 2022 when rules will change
