Between the 2 races we have a filming day and supposedly we will try something then!!!!
The original updates the front wing and floor, Hungary was 1st chance to get real data on them, this them has an effect on car set up so it takes a few races to get the most from the updates. This is a power track and they look a damn site better relative to all teams bar of course Mercedes.

Less downforce and draggy rear wing: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EeQO4-mX...pg&name=medium

That's why car is better in the straights and worse in the corners.

And what do you expect him to do with a loose brake pedal for three times consecutive since the weekend started? Lol I guess all the people here would take the car to drive it to the limit with something loose in the pedal area without fear and risk... Jeez we can blame vettel all we want but that car never got pace since fp1 when was down to issues.

We have new low df rear wing witch is track specific, NO major updates. The floor from Austria 2 dont think it gave us anything in general performance wise.
This new rear wing looks to be better for qualy BUT way worse in race pace. Let's wait for tomorrow's race ,but if it's like FP2 s picture, we will tragically slow bacause we destroy the tires massively!!!
So if this will be confirmed, nothing have changed, just better in qualy worser in race!!!!

I didn’t say anything against him. His handling or set up issues might be different. He’s not comfortable all through the weekend.

Every season update is based on a specific track. It happens every season in every weekend. If you think each new floor or front wing is an important upgrade, you are misinformed by the media. Wings and floors are not a major upgrades by itself.

Floors, bargeboards area, diffuser ARE important updates and are used in every track. The wings are track related but not that we use different in every single track. There are the the ends like Monaco- Hungary with top high downforce and on the other end Spa- Monza with very low downforce. I. The other tracks the teams use their main wings with minor changes.

All in all I think that floor and wing has made a difference. I have a better feeling than what we saw at 1st race but of course the race may well be a different story, however at 1st few races qualifying and race was rubbish so at least if its qualifying only it's something. Interesting if rumours of drag at sudepod inlet are true as that's drag for no downforce, if they can somehow fix that may well keep or improve downforce with far less drag. Ferrari maybe competing with Red Bull towards the end if the season.

Leclerc said we've took an aggressive approach to quali here but we will suffer in the race.

He had this problem last season. That's why he was the best in quali last year. Rookie mistakes.

Yes... I feel somehow Leclerc always goes for aggressive quali set-up & he suffers little bit in the race by looking after the tyres or something similar.

May be he will change approach when he gets more comfortable with car & if the package is strong.

Yes. It's a start, a chink of light. Appreciate may well suffer in the race with tyre wear. It will take time but little things like today should start to be more consistent. It's a positive, tomorrow likely not but its climbing back up the ladder and its early days. If LeClerc can maintain this position tomorrow that would realistically be the best possible result that we can expect at this stage. If can get 6th that's maybe more realistic. If 9th or 10th that will be disappointing.

Agreed, especially Vettel starting on the softs with no down force will be sliding all over the place and in the pits in single digits

More gold chains for the rapper yea bro. That poor soul Hamilton it must be lonely at the top looking down on all the other f1 drivers.Thank God he toned down his race rhetoric because mercedes in Germany has had a gut full of him.Even 3 chains knows and respects it does not matter if you are black or white.Do not bite the hand that feeds you, other wise the gold chains will stop coming.

@Max33Verstappen : "You have to accept that Mercedes are too quick, but they are doing a such great job, you can't fight against that atm."
So last year ,when we where fast we must've been cheating, while now that Mercs are 1 sec faster then him ,they are just such a good team ??????
What the hell is going on ????!!!!!

In telemetry, they saw that something was wrong with Ferrari.

Do you at least have a minimal understanding of what teams see on their computers? I don't think so. RBR from their computers showed to FIA how Ferrari cheats might work and they probably was accurate.

Red fools are now paying the price of playing Squellers no favours from the fia red fools now go and beat mercedes like Dr Death Marko was suggesting will be the situation.I can not wait for a red bull victory seriously the waiting is killing me just like Ferrari is.Keep dreaming red fools and keep squelling on other teams and oh yes keep protesting.

With that car, making it to 2nd row start is not a easy thing. Leclerc did a stellar job to extract everything from the car.
I saw a video where he controlled the car at that high speed Maggots & Beckett’s section with cross wind was amazing.

If there’s luck he can finish at the same position as faster cars are behind him, it’s pretty tough to hold them with the slower car.

For vettel, as there’s nothing to loose don’t see much of chances. Only SC in 2nd stint will give him some chance

They might as well try anything.

Get him in and put him on the Hards on Lap 1. Go to softs near the end. It is not like the point from 10th matters currently. At least get some data and give the strat team an exercise.

So RBR have Ferrari's telemetry and how our engine performs????!!!!
    Our you serious????
They only can see from GPS how the car accelerates, brakes etc.
They said some possible irregularities they thought we must be doing. But then the FIA declare it legal so the protested again. The thing is that EVERYBODY cheats with one way or another. What bothers me is why RBR fight so hard against us last year and now thetly accept their fate being 1sec slower then Merc and they also praise them.
It's just so slimple: If FERRARI is fast everybody shouts here and there that we must have done something illegal, and when Merc is astronomically fast all the world now to them and praise them for doing such a good work !!!!!!
The other odd thing is that last year from Austin onwards that the directives took place and I seems like we lost performance, actually we didn't lose out straight line speed but we went back of have an unbalanced car with poor downforce, like the start of the year. Its was like the Singapore updates stop working!!!!!

Yup... only SC should help him else it’s bad weekend again with out of points.
But Ferrari needs to try & collect Data with his stints on this track, which could be helpful for future races & bringing updates from maranello

    Helmut Marko

It's a mystery where Leclerc got that speed from. He was faster on the straights than we were, but that only seems to be the case with him. We didn't see it with Sebastian Vettel. In fact, Leclerc only lost two tenths at his best time of 2019.
