    SpanishGP 2020: Practices and Qualifying

All 3 days will be hot.

    Pirelli brings the "hardest" tires.

I think we have a good shot at finishing P4 here. Corner speed is more important than anything else. Unlike in Austria or at Silverstone, qualifying is not flat "all the way round" so the grid position should also be better for both cars.

Don't think there is much to read into with that FP1. Obviously one and two are a no brainer but hopefully we can be competitive outside those positions.

We need Super Max to show up and give Hammy some nerves. Would be nice to see Leclerc hampering him too.

Leclerc did personal best sector 3 on his second soft tyre lap, Vettel did personal best sector 2 and 3. Bit surprising tbh, because we are the only one doing personal best on the second flying lap.

So we are now behind the Renault and Haas as well !! Are we again going for a different setup to others to execute one less pit stop ??? But at Spain track position is very very important.

How is the pace now for Lec? I think he had a pitstop.

He had a pitstop, but the live timing is showing him on old softs.

And he pits again. Now on mediums.

    Long run

Leclerc: average pace on softs, good pace on mediums.

Vettel: atrocious pace on mediums, respectable pace on softs.

Any explanation for why Albon is consistently languishing way behind his teammate?

It shows how Merc's domination has wrecked F1 by the low number of posts on this thread, even a tifoso has trouble getting excited about the current state of affairs. All is not lost, though, we have Charles and probably expect him to deliver the impossible, he'll give it his best but P6 in FP2 doesn't inspire confidence.

Spanish GP could be Vettel's last race with Ferrari. Kimi Raikkonen or Nico Hulkenberg will replace Vettel in Belgian Grand Prix if these rumors are true.

It won't do any harm to Ferrari. I'd say put Hulk in that car, and get the same or even better results, while paying him 10 times the less than Vettel.

At least Seb has reduced the gap to Charles from .6 to .5 with his new chassis.
