softs would not have helped Vettels time into Q3.

But they took unnecessary risk with Charles, which paid off in the end.
Do you see any other team sending out a driver on mediums who is six tenths slower than his team mate on the same compound. You might as well stick softs on him and get him as high up the grid as possible. You either end up top 10 or you finish higher than 15th and still get a free choice. We did neither and end up 15th.

But giving him softs would not have changed anything. I don't think he could do 1m17.4 with softs. And his mediums are pretty fresh, only did 3 laps.

My point is he could of gone faster on the softs than the mediums so at worst we still qualify outside the top 10 but at least a little higher and get free choice. Sending vettel on on mediums when he's over half a lap slower than Leclerc was just condemning him to a terrible lap time. What's the point even getting out of q1 if we are going to do that.

We don’t have race pace. Charles been doing amazing in quali, but falling down in race due to our engine.

It was tight, but GOAT did beat his mediocre team mate.

I am even more pleased with the fact that Ferrari's updates work and with the new 2021 engine and the operation of the new simulator for 2022, I am becoming optimistic.

Vettel very honest about the comparison to Leclerc: "There is nothing I can do right now. He's driving in another league. Even if I have a good lap he's still quicker."

"Mediums are slower than softs"...only according to Pirelli. I don't think realistically, there is any meaningful difference between the C3 and C4. The C4 has better warm up, but the C3 has higher operating window. And compared to Bottas, who was on softs and Max also on softs, Charles's lap was mighty impressive. Both Charles and Ferrari are improving (chassis side, pitwall and pitcrew are rubbish).

Now we need a better engine.
