Man, Buxton makes Crofty sound like Murray Walker. Why is he so dramatic for literally everything?

I know, very concerning. I hope the engines are tuned down at the moment...

Still cant gage how Ferrari is doing overall....Brundle thinks RedBull and Mclaren look the best this year so far with AlphaTauri 3rd.
Regarding Mercedes "woes" in testing. I would'nt read anything into it. They're Mercedes, they bounce back rather quickly. I'm gonna wait a couple of races regarding the teams but Q3 will be a tell-tale sign of where everyone stands.

I'm not reading too much into Merc's situation and I'm not going ahead of myself, but so far my prediction of LH not winning the 2021 championship is off to a good start.

Mercedes did'nt follow suit but Mclaren did. Mclaren have a rear diffuser with 2 large vanes in the center of the diffuser to create more downforce.

McLaren’s workaround to surpass 2021's F1 diffuser limits

Yeah, not very positive at the moment. But we're not spending a lot of time in the garage, we're not fixing or changing too many things, we're going ahead with racking up the laps, so maybe the garage knows something we don't.

I'm not too concerned with the top speed. Charles said the data matches up which is the main thing.

One thing the data back at the factory doesn't tell you is where you are relative to everyone else. THAT'S the main thing.

Testing doesn't tell you where you are relative to other teams. I guess Williams are better than the mercs right now then...

Tell you the truth I’m not really that impressed with the SF21 performance
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

    Had full fuel load
Did not go to 8 gear top speed was 280
I am not worried at all
I think the car is going to be an improvement
Also the floor has been changed and bits are being added

There are tonnes of Ferrari personnel at Hinwil. No way will Alfa be faster than Ferrari.

Sky is so somber right now with Mercedes at the bottom of the pack. Trying to find every excuse why they are slow. wrong/new tyres, not quali mode, still learning etc. Give me a break gentlemen, you're supposed to have no bias to one team/driver. I hope Hamilton will not get one single pole this season so these cry babies can find something else to talk about. Pathetic.

Now they are laughing that Leclerc only managed P6 and is still behind GIO. These guys are loosers.

Edit - Sky can rest easy, Bottas in p1

Ferrari are just going through there programs. There is no need to open up the engine.Even the Drs is not being deployed steady she goes. There is no value in thrashing any f1 car at such an early phase of testing . Complete the program and gather all the data thats the name of the game its not about setting the fastest laps.

If Ferrari are 6th behind Alfa Sky are the losers?

Despite everyone's wisdom before testing they get drawn in to testing stint pace and headline times. After the 1st race weekend we can see what's what. I'd rather have the most laps and data.

Which is weird though... as Leclerc holds fastest S1 which is just 2 straights basically, but is losing half a second in S2, which is the DF part of the track.

Did we shave off too much downforce again?

The truth is that we doesnt look good AT ALL !!!Merc doesnt have a good test till now BUT today they made some very fast stints on hard tires and now they took the top spot with c5. RedBull have show some pretty impresive performance on long stints/mini race sim. Mcl also look pretty good with very good lap times all day long. Alfpha Tauri today is clearly better then up BOTH on long stints and on fast laps by a good margin almost 0.5s. Alpine looks almost on our level and EVEN Alfa Romeo on pure numbers and on track picture looks better then us !!!!!
THIS is the cold trye picture for us at the moment . For sure we dont now anything about our programme compare to others .but if we doenst have made the choise to run havier/lower (engine) then the others , then ther is nothing good in these test to make us hope foe something good !!!!!!!!

Considering the size of the rear wing, you'll need a world beater of an engine for the downforce to not be enough. It's more likely that either Leclerc destroyed his tyres or missed an apex or something.
