we did have a good day ourselves, if you ignore the engine issue we had in the morning....which i'm still kind of worried about....but like others have said, better in testing than wehn season starts....

as far as Merc having a bad first day, i'm sure they'll bounce back, they always do.....afterall they havent' won all the WCC's since 2014 out of luck....let's not KID ourselves, they prolly still are the team to beat.....and if we can't beat them ourselves.....I SURE AS HECK HOPE MAX DOES.....i can't stand that hamster winning another WDC
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Ya, Hamilton has been known to cry wolf. Mercedes also always pretends to have engine problems or reliability issues etc. Which always turns out to be fake news to bolster theirs and Hamiltons ego. Lets see how this plays out in the final 2 days of testing!

No way will Mercedes be that far behind. They definitely seem to have troubles with the gearbox, especially since they messed around with it (used tokens on it). Who knows what their fuel loads were and it is also likely that they didn't come quite close to the ideal setup.

Throwing away an entire day of testing for Nissany is ridiculous. It would've increased Russell/Latifi's chances at getting a shot at a points finish by a lot.

My problem is I don't like Max either.

Did we seem to recover from the engine problem in the afternoon or is it hard to tell?

Indicative as in what you see is what you get. No games, no pretence, no sandbagging, because there's simply no time for any of that.

Very hard to say. Ferrari powered-teams completed the most laps though.

Yeah, I'm mystified on the Nissany issue. I'm with you on all fronts.

LAP COUNT & KILOMETERS POWER UNIT:

    Ferrari (3 teams) - 332 laps - 1796.78 km
    Mercedes (4 teams) - 319 - 1726.17 km
    Honda (2 teams) - 250 - 1128 km
    Alpine (1 team) (Renault) - 129 - 698.15 km

Also, I've noticed no BLM logo on Lewis's 2021 helmet.

Lol of course I'm not referring to the times. That would be naive of me. I'm referring to things like stability, reliability, consistency confidence.

Max MORE THAN LIKELY looks to get the Mercedes seat IF Lewis retires after 2021 into 2022.

I actually like it that Lewis does'nt have the BLM logo. One of the original founders of BLM has condoned the movement of being a Marxist movement on YouTube. Not to mention the BLM movement took in $90 million USD in 2020 and have yet to give it to other BLM factions (whom are asking for money from BLM) in the U.S.

The only way I see Checo beating Max is in the pit stops.....otherwise Checo will be right behind Max on the track. I don't see Checo passing Max on the track nor will Max let that happen.

No TV cameras to flaunt it off to and make a story about. Trust me, more stunts will be pulled come official race weekend. I digress, lets keep this thread on Ferrari and testing.

After years of speculation that great RB is working on some kind of magical floor at Ferrari, Mercedes showed it today! Spy gate?! (end of sarcasm)

    My sixpence-worth - FWIW..

Can't really tell anything from today. Two more days might mean a bit more. Remember the year we bossed testing then flopped during the season?

Not good for us, not bad for us. (What was LEC's issue, anyone know?)

Fair to say, Mercs will be the team to beat (again) with Mad Max and the McMowers getting closer. ALO will make the Renault (OK, OK.. 'Alpeeen') go quicker than it can.

Hope Seb hands Daddy's Boy his a*** on a plate in the Mercedes 'B' Team.

I look forward to another season of virtue-signalling, race-baiting and general wokeness from The Pineapple-Headed One.

Having been a Ferrari fan since Jody moved from Wolf in 1979, suffered until 2000 and now suffering again, I DO hope we can make a better fist of things this year.

If we make a poor start to the new Formula in 2022, I really may give up..

At least my other team, Norwich City, are giving me a cracker of a season!

    #ForzaFerrari!
    Trying to be less angry..

Leclerc on why his car stopped on track: "We had a small combustion anomaly on the data and just to be sure, we stopped the car. Luckily it was just 10 minutes before the end of the session. It didn't cost us so much time on track."

According to Leclerc the data acquired matches the windtunnel and simulator. That sounds like we finally overcame that issue. Hurray!

After Sakhir forget Max; Dan; or any other driver; it's Russell who is up with the best. He just needs a score a point for himself with his Williams and F-1 will belong to him driver wise! I believe Charles and Sainz will do podiums for Ferrari if the HP roomers are true!!
