Teams were spending alot of time in garage during the FPs. 1 hour practice sessions are much better imo.

Why is Lec time so low?

Leclerc did 1.30.4 with medium tyres at testing... Let's not overreact please. It's just FP.

Then I don't know if it's my problem, but they're completely ignoring Ferrari when doing fast laps and showing how Ham chills in the pits... Frustrating.

Unbelievable. I strongly dislike croft and the whole sky team. Give us some credit, we barely made it to the top 10 last year and we are setting strong times this year.

Something doesn't add up about Charles time. He's definitely not 5 tenths slower than Carlos. He knows the car better and no disrespect but I think he is more naturally gifted so i'm cautiously optimistic he could be around Max' time.

Sky is slowly trying to replace Hamilton with Max, they are actually talking more about Max than Hamilton. The narrative has been set....Max Vs Ham.

TSN broadcasts the races in Canada, but the feed is from SKY. So I have no choice to listen to this garbage every weekend.

Hard to say, long run pace looks okish but teams are clearly running lower power modes. Merc and red bull in a class of their own.

    Verstappen/Hamilton doing 31 flat S1, mid 42.4 S2, 24.1 S3 on mediums 7 laps old

    Sainz is doing 31.3 S1, 42.7 S2, 24.3 S3 on mediums. 5 laps old

    Norris doing 31.15 S1, 42.7 S2, 24.2 S3 on mediums 4 laps old

    Leclerc doing 31.35 S1, 43 S2, 24.7 S3 on softs 9 laps old

Leclerc has gone on to mediums now and did
    First full lap 30.8 S1, 42.5 S2, 23.9 S3.

comparable to the Mercs/RB but again hard to say fuel loads and session ended after his first full lap plus those guys did mid 1m 36 and beginning of stint.

I think we are fighting for 3rd/4th best which given last year is the best we could have hoped for.

Good session. Think we are just off the Mclaren, Mercedes & Red Bull but look good compared to Alpine, Aston Martin and Alpha Tauri

Did Carlos use the DRS cause I saw him not using it on the back and main straight in his last lap?

Chandhok looks the most bearable to listen from that bunch. JB and di Resta are OK too. Croft and Brundle sometimes are just crap, even if Brundle has lots of F1 knowledge.

Brundle is good, his newspaper columns are good. He has been at Sky a long time so knows he must keep to the production teams pre prescribed narrative. Chandel, Button they will be assimilated into Sky thinking, they will get told off for coming across as reasonable.

Don't worry about Leclerc. We don't know what he was doing and what Sainz was doing exactly. Times in FP are not that important, as long as one of the cars is on the right pace we can trust the other can do the same if he has to.

I personally switch all commentary off and go to FX mode on F1 TV. This way i don't have to suffer the biases of sky uk and co :D
GJ by the team considering that leclrec will surely be faster than carlos :) at least this was the case the past years, always 2, 3 tenth behind vettel and come qualy always ahead by as much

Encouraging day but I always said I was worried about Mclaren as well as Merc/RB, we are definitely in there and Carlos ahead of Charles in FP2, surprising but all will be revealed over the weekend.

The official website says Charles suffered from traffic on his fastest lap, which should explain the time.

I hope for one car in the second and the other in the third row tomorrow.
