Lec consistently slow in S3. Effect of yesterday's crash or tires not lasting one full lap ??

Well, at least Algarve, Barcelona, Monaco, Hungaroring, Zandvoort, Singapore, Mexico and Interlagos should be interesting if the car is this quick through the corners. Also Istanbul if it happens and the asphalt still is slow which makes T8 hard to take flat.

Hard to tell what the ultimate pace is considering both were faster yesterday in the afternoon. Either way, I think both should be able to hit the 1.14's in Q2 and Q3.

Doubt the former, could be the latter or could be driving to delta for practice. I.e. drive hard s1 and s2 to see ultimate pace and then drop off s3 to not show full hand. Who knows not long to wait for q. I'm hopeful we get at least one car on the second row.

It feels so good seeing Aston Martin looking so bad. They were way too smug last year.

What? Leclerc was only slower than Max in S3. He was consistently one of the fastest, if not the fastest driver in S3.

Ferrari is 2 tenths down in sector 1 compared to yesterday, Leclerc a tenth down in the sector 2 compared to his FP2 time. There's plenty more to come from Ferrari.

Pirelli increased the rear tires pressure by 1 psi, right before the start of FP3.

It's funny because Otmar is complaining about the rules changes in every single interview. He even said they might take legal actions against FIA. I guess sponsors are not happy with their performance.

He will get destroyed in the court too. Entire giants have succumbed to FIA's regulation changes (Williams 1994 and 1998, Ferrari 2005 and RedBull 2014). If the FIA didn't care about them, they surely won't care about Aston Martin, especially when Mercedes didn't speak a word. Stroll Sr. thinks he's more influential than he actually is.

They said that they found performance overnight with setup changes.

It's probably our powerunit. Honda and Mercedes have a big advantage.

Still quite an engine-dependent track this.

Low temps and the long straight are playing into others' hands.

Sainz couldn't match his sector 2 time from the previous lap, if he did he would've been in Q3.
