The PU freeze is next year. It's marginal gains for Mercedes and Red Bull whereas we have the possibility to achieve parity and maybe more. We've been working on this new engine for a while come 2022

Yeah... We all know how in the past all those huge changes "helped" Ferrari (2005, 2009, 2014,....)

Well done Charles. Had Ferrari no waited for 4 laps to clear Sainz, he would've been a lot closer to Norris. But nevertheless, P6 was our maximum today

Only thing left is to raise an arm in salute of der führer Toto. Cheating and conspiring to ban competitors' legal engines keep on paying off. We all know which side of the war that company was firmly on.

It was the right strategy. Norris also pitted for softs a lap later and he had no problem managing his tyres. Sainz simply chewed up his tyres a lot faster than expected.

CL should never had the opportunity to pass CS in the first place if they put them on the same tyres.

Let's wait for Binotto interview now. He's going to say he's relieved about our performance once again ?

Also Sainz was holding up Charles a big during the first stint. A soon as Ferrari pitted Sainz, Leclerc was doing PB's and was 5-6 tenths/lap faster.

Νο way, Norris was just controlling his pace . We are just slow. We made a step from last year but for God sake we where expecting to be better then last year disaster!!!!
On the other hand there is not much we can do with these silly rules!!!
All hopes are for next year. If we just make another step and we are just 3d closer to Merc and RedBull ,we are not good enough!!!!
    FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!

Disappointing. Midfield so tight that strategy error on Sainz cost points. McLaren just a little faster BUT new bits next race, same for McLaren and that should be it for the season so if Ferrari make a small deficit to small advantage should be a good race to end of the year. Today just showed the Paddy Lowe effect, Merc just turn the 3 gine up a notch and goodbye RedBull.

Obviously. He’s the man for this disaster. Anything better than that he feels it we made good progress. When others are finding much of improvements.

The gap before the final lap was 2.9 seconds. So Norris wasn't miles ahead. Also when Leclerc overtook Sainz, the gap was 4.2 seconds.

Last lap Leclerc did 1:23.729 compared to Norris's 1:22.303, he basically gave up on the final lap and that's why the final gap is 4.4 seconds.

Norris did 44 laps on mediums, Gasly 42 laps on mediums and Sainz 45 laps on mediums. But Sainz lost his tyre performance a lot faster than the other two.

It was the same thing during the first stint. Sainz was holding up Leclerc and Gasly, which let Norris to build up a comfortable gap. I guess he still isn't fully comfortable with the car yet.

They probably brought him in a bit too early. Maybe 3-4 laps fresher tyres could've made a difference over a long run. Anyway, at least Barcelona is a normal surface where the usual soft/medium tyre temp range should apply. That should be a free strike at beating Norris and S2/S3 during qualifying there will be important in measuring how we're looking for Monaco, Hungary and Singapore.

The situation of tyres is just stupid.

Like there is no real pace difference between soft/medium/hard on 20-30 laps. Why would anyone put soft tyres beside trying to get fastest lap.

When will Binotto find a way to cheat with his engine hacks again?
