We know how it is when Mercedes and Red Bull turn it up anyway so we know the fight is just with McLaren for us and not further up than that. In the medium speed corners we are right there though we just don't have th power but we know that from day one.

I'm not false-sified by it. I never look at FP times. Qualifying is where it's at regardless of the team.

Why? The only two teams above us are Mercedes and Red Bull and we knew that would be the case before the season started. We don't have a God given right to be first or second or best of the rest, McLaren and Alpine are working hard just like us to find the performance required to be that third best team. I don't even acknowledge RBR and Mercedes because we aren't even in the same league. I'm more concentrated on this mini battle outside of that, that's the only way to measure our performance this season and we know after today and tomorrow we won't be bringing much more to the car, still this season is better than last and the noises from the drivers are positive.

Only leclerc improved in the final shoot out. He was on used set of softs earlier part of Q3.

Now we bank on race pace. Last time Alphine had a strong race pace over us.

huh??? Last season(2020) Ferrari was "penalized" for cheating and ended the season in 6th place.
