I mean it's better to bin it now than during the race.
Ferrari will have Lecerc's car ready for the race. The crew can work overnight and pass the curfew regs IF they need to work overnight.
It's not how start but how you finish.

Happy for Charles, Feel sorry for Sainz.. I really wished Sainz was in top 3
It is so bloody close, there is really no margin for error at Monaco. One twitch here or there, you find a barrier.
We had everything, the car, weather, drivers.. let's see how things go tomorrow.

Feel sorry for sainz, would have been Top3 position.
No, there wouldn't be next runs for Ferrari. Both our drivers were on their hot laps and bothe were slower, than Bottas and Verstappen in the first sector by 2 tenths. But we were faster in S2, so maybe we would hold onto the pole, but it would be way closer.

Yup work around the car is not a problem. It’s just whether that gear box is fine or not.
Fingers crossed. Hope everything is good

If Charles is able to start P1 and take the start hopefully we can use Sainz as a pick to prevent a Verstappen undercut. So long as Carlos is inside that pit window we could have a great chance at controlling it.

Looks like the front took the bigger hit. Hopefully that is the case.

Ferrari already Sainz was fastest in Sector1 through out quali. It was Middle & final sectors where Ferrari is much stronger.
Yup agree, would have held on to the pole.

It’s not about golden boy anymore. Future is Lec vs Max. This is what should be exciting & entertainment both pushing rivalry is back.

he hit the barrier twice before that rear end hit, hopefully it took the brunt of it and scrubbed enough speed off to lessen the impact on the rear.

Well if he starts P6 he won't win the race.
didn't Ricciardo win here with a faulty gearbox?

yeah it's not about golden boy but I hope golden boy can't have the 8x WDC, let VER win this season rather than HAM, I'm sick and tired of merc engine advantage and FIA blind eye.. Imagine when ham complain about flexi wing FIA is automatic checking the wing, while the DAs is legal for last season. why FIA let the flexi wing go on for this season then banned it for 2022.

We can compare this crash with Williams - Latifi. It’s almost the same.

very similar, but i think the front wheel stayed on for Latiffi and he scrubbed more speed off maybe?

No gearbox change for Latiffi correct?

I seriously hope the gearbox is intact.

And yeah Max and the butler were saying yada yada and how they could've pulled 2 tenths out of their backside, nothing but talks. Nothing stopped them from topping the Q2, or get the job done with the most important bunker lap. But they couldn't get close to Charles in the S2 and 3.

I hope Sainz jumps Bottas at the start tomorrow.

Yup you are right. Leclerc was more aggressive in the final Q3 lap than earlier one. I saw the same on his q2 1st or 2nd run, where he did touch the barrier but it was like slight bit of sparks.

    Very mature of him.

me too, although better to lose it now than with 3 laps to go in the race or something.
