Agreed, but Leclerc goes well there, I need to see him not put a car in the wall at a street circuit and still be quick.

Left drive shaft issue for Leclerc which can't be repaired before the race.
It's not how start but how you finish.

But lets focus our hopes and prayers on Sainz. There is still a Ferrari out there starting from P3. We can still win this race.
No. Absolutely not. Monaco is a parade and you're going nowhere + Max has got the race pace to pull away.

Were they so focused on the right side they forgot to check the left?

Leclerc does well everywhere except Monaco (as I see him crashing through the walls of street circuit). But our car/ engine doesn’t support on that track (Baku).

    RACE UPDATE:

Charles will not start the race due to an issue with the left driveshaft which is impossible to fix in time for the start of the race.

Yep, completely agree. Carlos goes well here and especially if he pips Bottas at the start.

Sainz better go all out and have one of his trademark excellent starts again. Don't care if he DNFs too, just win at all costs.

Well they went for it, it was a chance to win so why not. Does mean 2 McLarens v 1 Ferrari for points but in this transition season I am glad they went for it for a rare chance to win. Don't think your allowed to open the gearbox to check, I think its sealed. This gearbox was fragile anyway, guess it's the one that messed up in FP1?

Well, he's quick everywhere. And he's quick on street circuits, remember Singapore pole. He should have won that race AND Baku in 2019.

I understand we won't be competing for the win in Baku in 2 weeks, but it is absolutely important for Leclerc to NOT put the car in the wall there. I just think he is a little too crash prone.

Not that I'm worried, Max has crashed sooo much more, including twice at the swimming pool in Monaco just like Leclerc did yesterday. And Max has put other drivers at risk which is even worse.

Good news is that Sainz is on the clean side now right? He could get Bottas at the start then.

Next pole or podium or good results we can expect Singapore GP?

If any luck, Sainz should pull out something here in Monaco.

It's like Barrichello and Brazil all over again with Leclerc and Monaco.

TBF, it was Charles's own doing.
