He announces his arrival formally with a good showing here. He just has to do well. I think a win is not impossible; a podium is ours to lose. A lot on stake for the Team here even if it doesn’t look it on paper.

If any luck, Sainz should pull out something here in Monaco.

unless the championship fight keeps getting tight and Merc and Red Bull bring more updates and pull away from the midfield. Remember, no more updates from Ferrari.

    Somewhat true.

Ferrari had all the time in the world to inspect that car. They could have broke curfew regs and inspected that car thoroughly all night.
It's not how start but how you finish.

Yeah, but Charles wasn't quick in sector 1 in Monaco and still pulled out enough over the next 2 sectors to wind up 3 tenths ahead.

The most annoying thing for me is this ******** that Max and Bottas were on a pole winning lap. Just because they were two tenths up in the first sector when in reality Charles had a poor S1 where he was two tenths down on everyone else and nailed the last two sectors. There's no thing to suggest Max or Valteri would of got pole.

Charles has the raw talent but he needs to see the long game, although I know that's difficult when you have a car that rarely performs as well as ours has this weekend and we probably won't have a qualifying weekend as good for the rest of the season. We just need that engine performance next season to come and we will be right in the mix.

you're absolutely correct, it would have been close but it doesn't seem likely that Verstappen would have gotten pole.

When Leclerc set that lap, he was 2 tenths down after the first sector, he gained 3 tenths in the final 2 sectors.

that means the 1.5 tenths that Max was up in his last lap was compared against Leclerc's first sector which was poor, NOT Max's quickest. Max still needed to find 4 tenths atleast to get pole in the last 2 sectors. Not likely!

They said yesterday reliability first, but in the end they wouldn't wanna give up pole position and risked it anyway.

They are already pulling away from Sainz, he should just try to save his tyres now.

It's very important to look after the tyres. Overcut is the way to go.

They are not dropping Sainz, dear Martin. Sainz is looking for clean air.
