Because Ferrari is like a bit of the Catholic religion, you sometimes (often) must have to love to suffer (Maranello isn't so far away from Roma)

Speculation is that Ferrari used only a basic presentation floor for the launch and an upgraded one will be used at testing that resembles the one used by alfa romeo...

For the moment, my only certainty is that these two drivers were really bad, which does not help us, ok. Let's keep calm, the list of Cassandras whose opinion is not worth much is potentially long. Courage mates, it's still too early for a collective suicide

Looks like a square duct for the radiator, and a diversion panel that directs air around the tube of the sidepod. Or it could just be a diversion to a different cooling device. Would love to see the body work off.

    Some points:
    1. Last year, I was completely wrong about the performance of the car and the team, we got 3rd in the WCC.
    2. I don't like the front view of the car, it seems like 1990 again
    3. The side reminds me of F2004, so I like it !
    4. I am not concerned about the sidepods, their detail screams that they know the concept is right
    5. I DO worry about the floor, it's very plain
    6. Generally, the car is too clean.I hope it's just the first iteration.
    7. Team sounds very optimistic. The fact that the drivers and the Team had discussions on how to fight, sounds like the believe that they will be up there
    8. The floor is too simple, have I said that?

Great, PG is a friend of one of my friend. I can say he is a good guy, he deserves our sympathy

Our car might have a revolutionary concept and it would be nice to have both Red Bull and Mercedes fight for crumbs this year. I think having a detachable wing in such a way that it doesn't need to pass a crash test every time is really clever. Perhaps the holy undercut is now the wrong path. Maybe we have our aero on point. Our airbox is very slim on top. Compared to the gaping cave entry mercedes has. Our back is actually quite slim. Mercedes is very slim but not at the area where the exhaust comes out. That's still quite wide.. Yeah i am cautiously optimistic about our chances this year. Actually I am can't stop looking at our F1-75. It's really such a work of art. I want to see Toto run out of headphone suppliers.

I don't know if "superfast" is a reality, or another Nuges's invention as were his 3d printing pistons and some others unfounded assetments. Wathever, we are all expecting a great engine, in line with Ferrari history, italian engines history i would say. Let's be proud again!

    Yes!
And how it would be nice to beat them all after all these years of italian bashing
Not easy to achieve, but how great it would be!

Toto once said "Let's crash mg them"
I don't want to crash them. I want to annihilate them.

Yeah I feel we really are coming back with a punch. And I certainly would love Binotto to have some success with our team. After all, Fry and Allison produced one of our most hideous car ever, the platypus or vacuum cleaner. I think Ferrari had a very good restructuring under Binotto. I heard we had a academy for future aero specialists and mechanics focused on Motorsport. I think that's great instead of having to pay large sums to get someone from other teams. Although you can still try that. But it's even better to have more options available. So yeah, we are getting there !

Ferrari will be at the very pointy end this season and will start the season strongly.I already can hear Dr death marks questioning the legality of the new ferrari after it beats red bull then merc will jump on the illegal band wagon. The difference to 2019 is that this time it will fall on deaf ears being the fia,are redbull concerned are mercedes concerned you can bet your gelato on it.

While I was reading Totos statements that he thinks we might have a 0.2s advantage at the start,a crazy thought pass through my mind!!! Is there a chance that the "deal " that we made with FIA in the end of '19 was that we deliberately will fall behind in '20 so that it looked like we are punished buy we actually was given more wind tunnel/cfd time ??? And that way we will come on top in '22????!

My understanding is that he was referring to wind tunnel time allocation advantage due to our poor ranking order in 2020 and relatively poor in 2021

I know, I'm wondering (a bit stretched i know ) if we deliberately end up 6th to have this extra time for working our '22 car??

Not much to add really. The top view does better show the path of the the tubs/valleys, which we kind of already knew. I am still unsure if the idea is good air or bad air, or somehow both through the valleys. Maybe it somehow creates some large inwards rotating vortecies that feed the air towards the beam wing. If the airflow is as simple as it looks (which i highly doubt), then it would seem the path goes down the center of the rear, close to the exhaust and over the least efficient part of the beam wing, which would then be a hope this is where they expel all their dirty air.

Even Scarbs is saying he is really unsure about this design and can't predict if it's good or bad.

Even still. If the scale is 1:6 it’s not a 60% scale model. 1:6 just means 1 unit of measure in the model to 6 in the real world. Like 1cm in the model is 6cm in real life. That would still be around 17% not 60%.

    Like a 1/4” scale drawing is 1/4” equals a foot. It’s 1:48 not 25%
