Qualifying went better than expected. I think P4 is on the cusp here. I want both Charles and Sainz to hold their position at the start, just don't lose the track position.

GIO is the star of today's qualifying.

Good qualifying from both drivers. Could have been better with the P4.

We're losing that last bit of oomph in the qualifying. That power upgrade can't come soon enough.

Was expecting more in Q3 .Lec was the only one who couldn't do better then his Q2 lap!!!! Anyway I think that P4 was our maximum today so nothing too bad !!!!
    Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Gaining between 17-20 points on McLaren tomorrow would be very important. With the engine upgrades probably both cars would be right around where Bottas is.

Either way now that the Bottler ain't got nothing to lose anymore, I hope he lunges wildly at the start tomorrow like a young Max would and maybe takes out both cars but especially his team mate Imagine the scenes.

Good lap. Much like Gasly, I'm hoping they've sacrificed race pace more then ourselves.

I feel bad for Perez. He's quite badly behind compared to Max. Max is so good that Red Bull should either settle for a big gap between their two drivers or go hard for someone like Russell or Norris.

Pity that Ferrari is not doing this. But to be fair it's understandable at the moment. We need to focus on getting our stuff together and getting back to the front and then we can be bullish again.

I'm very satisfied with our position overall. For sure some of the practise sessions gave us more hope but generally I think we achieved a good qualifying result. Well done to Sainz for putting it together despite the FP3 crash.

Watch Max and Lewis knock each other out of the race in the opening lap.

Great effort by our team and hopefully they'll stay out of trouble in the race and finish as they started if not better.
At this point anybody but Ham or MB on pole elates me also congratulations to Ver on his pole at home which he'll savor
for the rest of his life!

If anything, I think they'll both be more careful not to crash into each other. I highly doubt either of them would want a repeat of Silverstone.

Well said, stay out of trouble but hold track position from the start if possible, no heroic lunges, and that even applies to GIO! I'm sure Pierre will be up for a fight so stay calm, Charles, mates though you are!

Perez gets his 4th NEW PU and since he's starting at the back of the grid the penalties won't affect him.

    also

Verstappen 13,1 kph slower on the finish line without DRS on his pole lap. Also problems with double shifting and energy deployment.

It's not how start but how you finish.
