    And out of nowhere Leclerc does that. That's why he's a special talent.

    We're struggling with the front tyre temperature in this conditions. But Charles and the extra power mitigated out struggles a bit.

    That Merc is on another level here. But we're only 0.069 seconds behind Max.

    Charles confirming we went lower downforce today in order to benefit us tomorrow so all in all I think we can be super satisfied with the weekend so far.

    'good strategy'? From Ferrari?

    Much as I'd LOVE to see LEC win or on the podium, only if half the field wipes itself out, do we have a chance of a podium!

    S3 is top speed and mechanical grip, very little to do with downforce. If you go lower on downforce you struggle through S1 instead. I just hope they didn't go too low to make the car struggle through Turn 8 in race trim since being able to stay flat on maximum fuel there is half the lap.

    It's definitely very good to be within 0.4 seconds from pole on a pure engine track like Istanbul is once the grip isn't like an ice rink like last year. Great job on that final lap by Charles and I hope he can convert that into a P3 tomorrow.

    @Charles_Leclerc:
    "I knew it was going to be a tricky session for us because we decided to go for a low-downforce setup for this qualifying for tomorrow. Eventually I think it is the right choice, but for today it was tricky."

    I was getting worried in Q1/2 that our updates hadn't shown much improvement overall, but in those changing conditions Charles pulled one out of the hat and starts P3, just hope it can be converted into a podium. Thanks Carlos for helping him through Q2!

    We're still running with lower downforce, hoping our slow corner advantage can gain some of that back. I think our race pace will be better because, that was the case on Friday, and because the slippery track made things more difficult with the lower downforce setup. Provided it doesn't rain for tomorrow of course.

    Heck of a job from Charles to salvage this. I think, without the rain, he could have outqualified Verstappen atleast.

    I think lower downforce setup is the way to go. Current F1 cars have too much downforce and drag, even the lower downforce setup isn't true "low downforce".

    As it has been this year, the car was very good in corners. Due to the track conditions, Charles suffered front front tyres temperature issues. The reason for his relatively slow Sector 1 time.

    Hopefully tomorrow will be bone day, with both of our boys surviving the first lap and without having to deal with any reliability issues.

    During Verstappen's last Q3 run, his top speed was only like 313 kph. He even mentioned they were slow on the straight for some reason. Typically he was hitting 321ish kph.

    With our car, for a dry race setup, i definitely agree.
