Second track on the calendar that requires maximum downforce. And power unit performance is pretty much dependent on the energy harvesting unit.

Expecting a very competitive Ferrari here.

Just thinking, what IF Max came to Ferrari and brought Adrian Newey. (Kinda like what Schumi did).

That would make it Max with Leclerc and Newey as the aero???? That would make an awesome trio.
It's not how start but how you finish.

Adrian Newey declined offer from Ferrari, as he didn't want to move to Italy

Newey is presumably retiring soon due to his age and the only way Verstappen goes to Ferrari is if Leclerc is no longer around. Everyone except British journalists and Hammy instagram fanboys know Charles is the real deal.

I really hope we can pull off a big upset this weekend. Beating Verstappen is probably impossible, but I'd love to see a P2 finish from one of our cars. I genuinely feel that we could be faster than Mercedes thanks to the altitude and the hairpins/90-degree snail corners.

Yup, Ferrari has no need for Max or any other driver with Charles being here. He's a generational talent and improving every year. If Ferrari gives him the right car next year, Charles will make F1 quite boring. But not for me or the tifosi around the globe.

We are all putting our faith in Charles and despite some poor moments, he is the real deal to go up against Max & Co. Except hat he's just gone backwards into the barriers in FP1!

Okay start. Track is extremely dirty right now, but come qualifying, all the dust will be pretty much gone.

My biggest fear is that the pilots might bin it if they overdo it (especially Leclerc!)

Track is very dusty. It has'nt been used in over 18 months. Track evolution--> the more rubber the cars lay down, the track evolves with better times.

Havent seeing any race pace !!! Anyone has any info ?? Although i think that we havent run properly (low engine settings ??)
BUT also with some problems !!!
"I'm struggling so much with the engine issues", dice Leclerc.
Charles reports: "I am bouncing like crazy. I cannot control the car in the high speed."
    FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!

This looks like a disaster even though the track is similar to Monaco. Miles off both Mercedes and Pérez too. Not good at all.

So much for being so bullish on this race's outcome. We lost out one and only chance of glory at Monaco.

I wasn't expecting the gap to be this big between Ferrari and Red Bull-Merc. But it's just Friday practice, I don't think Ferrari have nailed the setup yet

Leclerc complained about that for the last few Fridays. It's an old engine, and I bet it's the one from Silverstone that lost him that race.

Ferrari will be better in qualifying, ironing out set up and some free practice gremlins anticipating at best 4th and 5th on the grid any higher and it will be a total surprise good points potentially on offer. Max should win this one fairly comfortably from Lewis barring any mishaps.e

That is what i'm looking for
Leclerc was sliding a lot, Sf21 struggles to find grip more than others but i think it might be better today on this side

It always seems to backfire when Ferrari were expected to be on their best form at any particular circuit such as Mexico, but there is hope if we can stay well clear of the Mclarens and our boys stay out of trouble.

In due respect the car is fundamentally good, it is track sensitive no doubt, the more the track rubbers in the better the grip will be,this will help charles. The boys just have to be patient somewhat and let the track evolve and come to them.Sure its dusty and dirty but its the same for all teams.Red bull are the down force kings and with a better all round package this year gives Max every chance to win the WDC and maybe the WCC.

I think we're jumping in conclusion rather prematurely. Friday practice doesn't give the full picture. Let's wait for the Qualifying sim in FP3, we will get a rough idea of our position at this track.

But I'm expecting Ferrari to be comfortably the best of the rest, without any reliability issues.

Leclerc got P2 in 2019 Qualifying with 1:15.024. Lets see what progress we have made in 2 years.

Jackie Stewart to present the pole position replica Juan Manuel Fangio trophy helment. It looks very nice.

Beats that Pirelli tire trophy any day.
