One second off the pace setter.

Cant wait for Bahrain 2022. The supposedly Ferrari rocketship will arrive by then, as per Binotto.
Ι think we didn't had a proper run on softs. We where slightly better on our medium run (Lec) On mediums we where pretty strong ,but let's see!!!
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
Through to Q2. Charles having to take another set of softs to do it though...
It's not how start but how you finish.
It's not how start but how you finish.
The Merc is like a bullet in a straight line. if that was a Ferrari the FIA would be stripping the power unit down and checking it out.
Again Gas in front of us ???!!! I quess that time delete on Q1 cost Lec a better try on Q3 !!
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
I don't understand this car.
Anyhow we keep on getting ahead of the McLaren's so that will do. Hoping Sainz can get Gasly off the line and it's hard to pass round here.
Well done Sainz !! hes doing excellent job.
He would have Finished higher in previous races if not been messed up by pit crew.
Challenging Charles isnt an easy job. But he excelled in terms of quali & race pace.
I think it is quite normal for 4 races before the end that the difference between the Bull / Mercedes order against other teams has increased. Both teams are fighting for the title and obviously the development for this season is very open. Meanwhile, I think Ferrari is working 95% for the 2022 season, the goal of the 2021 season is to stay ahead of McLarn.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Despite a pretty dominating qualifying, Hamilton fans still claim Red Bull has the faster car.
Lewis car under investigation for breaking the DRS rules or something, been referred to the stewards.

Those DRS zones look like a joke.
Bit underwhelmed by Charles' performance in Q3, probably being limited to one lap, but Carlos did what I expected. I'd suggest Charles probably has more pace in the bag so if he finishes ahead in the sprint race he could have a good run at beating Gasly on Sunday.
If we get away with a P5/P7 and ahead of both McLarens the gap starts to become pretty big.
Lewis might have a problem.
Hamilton is under investigation for a DRS infringement during qualifying.
Lewis Hamilton faces a stewards' investigation over a DRS technical infringement following Formula 1 qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix on Friday.
Lewis Hamilton faces a stewards investigation over a DRS technical infringement following Formula 1 qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix on Friday.
Mercedes driver Hamilton topped Q3 ahead of title rival Max Verstappen at Interlagos, taking first place on the grid for Saturday’s 24-lap sprint race.
But in a bulletin sent out by the FIA following qualifying on Friday, technical delegate Jo Bauer revealed there had been an infringement with the DRS on Hamilton’s car in line with a technical directive.
“The uppermost rear wing element adjustable positions were checked on car number 44 for compliance with Article 3.6.3 of the 2021 Formula One Technical Regulations,” the bulletin reads.
“The requirement for the minimum distance was fulfilled. But the requirement for the maximum of 85mm, when the DRS system is deployed and tested in accordance with TD/011-19, was not fulfilled.
“I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration.”
Should Hamilton’s car be found to have incurred a technical breach, the seven-time world champion may be excluded from the qualifying results, leaving him at the back of the grid for the sprint race.
Hamilton is already facing a five-place grid penalty for Sunday’s race after Mercedes opted to change the engine on his car ahead of the race weekend.
It would come as another blow to Hamilton’s F1 title hopes, having slipped to 19 points behind Verstappen in the world championship following Sunday’s defeat in Mexico.
Hamilton said on Thursday that the challenge in Brazil would be “steep” given Red Bull’s pace advantage, but was encouraged by the 0.4 second gap to Verstappen in qualifying after feeling comfortable with the set-up on his Mercedes W12 car.
“The car was really nice to drive,” Hamilton said.
“It was everything I wanted, and that enabled me to just keep pushing. You saw purple, purple, purple, so I was just gaining each time.
“I don’t know how we can go from one track where they’re half a second ahead to then being behind, but anyways, they’ll be very strong in the race tomorrow.”
The 24-lap sprint race at Interlagos is due to begin at 7:30pm GMT (4:30pm local), with a second practice session scheduled for earlier in the day.

No way FIA exclude the Affirmative Action champion.
Somehow they will find a way to justify it and let him keep his qualifying position.
More on Lewis's DRS infringement from AMuS:
Red Bull now believes it has finally struck gold. According to Red Bull, the rear wing flap of the Mercedes folds backward from a speed of 260 km/h.
"They are doing the same thing that we were accused of until before the race in Baku," said Horner.
Red Bull and a few other teams had to back up at the time. The FIA had tightened the rules for the flexibility of the wings at short notice.
One hour before qualifying began, Red Bull Technical Director Adrian Newey and Chief Engineer Paul Monaghan marched into the FIA office with a mountain of papers and videos.
"We wanted to give Mercedes the chance to turn it off," Red Bull said
But also in the quali, according to the Mercedes, the rear wing flap flattened out with the DRS open in the last third of the straight. In any case, the TV pictures conveyed this impression.
