Hope we didn't tune the car wrong like RB did in Australia
This time, tomorrow rain could be the reason why, so let's see

I think RB is about to start their charge - time to put our big boy pants on and Sainz to step the ****up. Thank God Max had that 2 DNF otherwise it would have been only 2 points difference if Max wins tomorrow. It's not over by a looooooooooooooong shot.

Race 4 no upgrades for ferrari and still at the pointy end with money in the bank.Red bull upgrades already with a fading budget, red bull have spent a bomb just getting max partly back in the game, the season is long and the development strategy must be planned perfectly or you will be left with your pants down and no cash.

The goal is to get your car as fast as possible in the quickest possible time. There is zero need to hold back - it's utterly pointless. It's not like there are new regs coming.

    You forgot the budget cap
We cannot bring as many evolutions as we want this year
We might as well work on them to make them as efficient as possible, and give us a lasting advantage and not just in the short term

Mb confirmed they are already running at full power. There’s no holding back & concern of reliability.

I don't know what is faster, 1 or 2 stops.
    1 stop: Medium - Hard ( safe )
2 stops: Soft - medium - soft (in that case you would have a strong start and a strong last stint. But I also don't know if Charles still has 2 sets of softs)
You can run like the wind, but you'll never outrun the Prancing Horse

Careful, anyone that has brought developments already has eaten through their budget, meaning less development over the remainder of the season.

We just have to hope whatever updates Ferrari brings will work as intended.

    This is not 2021 anymore...

No, the goal is to get your car to perform well at every track and if Red Bull have eaten through there budget cap early just to achieve some sort of parity then we are in a good situation. Anyhow who am I kidding, we finished second in the sprint race so we are clearly doomed for the season ahead.

Sainz already said we have got a better car in the windtunnel atm so figures must be good.

Always maximizing the points, with degradation issues we managed to still get decent points. Good thing is we don't have to race this tyre so should be ok. A little worrying though that even with the safety car we didn't have much grip towards the end. Hopefully we understand the issues so we can react quickly and understand what happened.

Can’t lie, I’m disappointed I wanted Charles to take the win.

Oh well. The real race is tomorrow.

Apparently, they say they were aware of the risk of graining, that Charles had to widen the gap twice with Max and that's what caused it
They said they don't see the graining happening again tomorrow with the other compounds and the race will be tight and more of a game of strategy, which is why they're happy with Carlos' fourth-place finish

If Max is ahead after T1 we must use the undercut. The only fear I have is that the team never makes the first call. Or better still we could force Max's hand and pit Sainz first and keep Charles out longer for 7+ laps and let Sainz get the undercut before Max reacts.

If Max reacts then lets hope Sainz is ahead and ruins Max tyres...

This is the race we NEED Sainz to deliver. He needs to clear Perez at the start. and stay within 2 secs of the leaders to force the undercut.

Do we have any actual reports of RB updates?
Are we just going conservative with our setup for this race? Cant imagine we are that far down from our AUS dominance.
And isnt CS supposed to have a better spec engine as well?

Seem kinda weird that our pace just fell off so suddenly. Did Ferrari think it would be better to start in the p2 spot on the grid?

#AMus With the cars remaining in parc fermé until the main race, the question remains whether Charles will have the same problems on Sunday.

Binotto: "There are ways to fix that with the permitted interventions."

e.g. with the aero balance, tyre pressure or the brake cooling.

AMus The sprint confirmed that the second Red Bull aero upgrade was successful and might have closed the gap to Ferrari.

Marko: "It did what we expected. Now we still have the weight factor on our side. The Ferrari is quite bit lighter than our car."

so we might get some rain, maybe SC and things could really shake up.
the midfielders will be hoping for a lucky win.
