3 DRS zones in a track like this is completely bonkers. Nearly 80% of the track is covered with DRS and the car behind will enjoy massive advantage.

With several slow corners and a lot of torque rather than top speed required I expect the car to be very fast this weekend. The double left in the middle of the circuit also should suit the car extremely well. Having said that, it doesn't usually appear to be enough due to the insert insult here on the pitwall.

Red bull need to raise there car, the flexi floor is under the fia microscope ,if they do not comply they risk being disqualified.Ferrari will not be as effected because they have not fully solved there bouncing issue so any changes relating to height will be minimal, redbull will probably be most effected regardless of what Dr death Marko states the man who always talks things up.The big winner is mercedes and that two faced wolf, will be interesting to see how there fia influenced up grades go, the ones no body can see.Mercedes must be nearing there budget limit know like most teams, but then again it is mercedes after all and they manipulate the fia time and time again. To have them back in the fight I must admit is good for the sport its how its achieved thats the issue. As always expect the unexpected.

While the track surface it's self is smooth round here there are a lot of elevation changes which might effect the cars bouncing, even though our car bounces it tends to absorb them quite well as it does the kerbs. Quietly optimistic we should be okay in that sense. However I am a little pessimistic that our traction isn't quite as influential as the early part of the season.

It really shows it was worth backing Sainz for the win last week. He's so much quicker now

Just the issue that Max looks faster. We haven't brought the upgrades we need to stay competitive with Red Bull really.

This was supposed to be RB track. Given 3 DRS zones, Ferrari can't keep that RB behind...better to sit behind the RB and pounce on any mistake. To be honest, I have no hope ...even when Lec is faster, Ferrari screws up. Just hoping for a close race between Ves and Lec

It's way too early to say.

    Leclerc's 2019 pole lap: 1.03.0
    Leclerc's 2022 FP1 lap: 1.06.5

If we aren't keeping our eye on the ball we could be outpaced by Merc. We need another step. But perhaps we are now more conservative with our engine modes? I wonder. But it seems Red Bull definitely have yhe upper hand. We need some upgrades. Perhaps engine upgrades to solve our reliability issues without losing power. And if that's not the case, find more aero gain.

They have the edge here. It’s just we need to wait & sit behind to make them a mistake.

At least Perez is struggling that’s good for us. Worst thing is Sainz neither quicker than those Mercs.
Too early to judge let’s wait for Sprint when ferrari turn up their engines. What gives me hope is K-Mag time on Softs.

Looks like the 2 way fight has definitely become a 3 way fight permanently.

Helmut Marko said that Ferrari have not used full power during FP1. He expects a close fight between Red Bull and Ferrari in quali.

So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Times on used softs don't look bad at all. I hope they aren't going to waste a set of softs for Q1. Done more than enough for go to the Q2.

Not allowing to use kerbs is just dumb. Track limits suck.

Both Ferraris are going to burn another set of softs in Q1.
