Last races Merc race pace is almost matching Ferrari & RB. So don’t discount merc yet. They are slowly getting there.

Good that Mattia & Christian are opposing Toto’s cheap tricks with FIA.

    Great quali for us.
Charles in P3, will have a great run at start.
Carlos at p2 tricky with dirty side but I think we have great race pace.

It's tomorrow first corner and then our strategy team I am afraid about.
and weather, we need more normal temps and obviously no rain. no unpredictability

And still, they are trying to manipulate the rules for next year. Hate that team. They have dominated the sport with that rocketship engine for years, did Ferrari complain? Now they are not competitive enough to win championships, they are crying and lobbying all around. They cant even loose with dignity.

Mate Ferrari are absolute masters at screwing up thing on track and Merc will always be there picking up good points
But Greig will never see that

yep, and they claimed they will be working all through the mandatory summer break. just like the budget cap, it's not something you can police.

Maybe because they worked in free practices with higher temps and what happened today was out of picture. If the entire weekend were cold they could have change the setup to adapt. Anyone knows the temps expected for tomorrow?

Great to see Sainz on form. He’s getting there.
Hopefully no non-sense tomorrow & get 1-2 finish.

It's all about the strategy team. Of course our drivers need to drive a faultless race.

Budapest will be quite chilly also tomorrow so I think today is very representative anyway. What Mercedes do struggle with is the first 10-15 laps so staying within undercut window is essential for Carlos to win this race. I don't think Charles will stand much chance and with the championship situation being over anyway not sure whether the team order ship has sailed or not.

On the flip side, Charles is not on pole so let’s see if he can win from here. These are the races that should make him stronger.
