I also watched it yesterday, and I'm old enough to remember the 80s and Gilles/Didier situation as it unfolded. I was a massive Gilles fan and was devastated when I heard about his fatal crash at Zolder, I was in Italy at the time and the whole country seemed to be in mourning. Didier's powerboat accident also killed his team-mates, I assume, but don't think that was mentioned.
