Charles is the best driver in this grid. I'm very surprised how the Ferrari fans don't realize it yet.

he is also the best ever when it comes to one-lap performance.

plus we need to get rid of Sainz. Perez was close to Max, even though he, perez is their second man. But our not second man sainz is 1 sec behind Leclerc with the same car

I was upset with the lack of upgrades here because I always Ferrari to be on top. But nonetheless, whatever they are cooking with the upgrades, I hope they deliver and allow Charles-SF23 take the fight to Max-RB19.

I didn't get to see any of the qualifying as I was at work. Colour me surprised though as I didn't expect that. Charles is incredible but round here in particular.

So pleased for Charles and the team, even if our race pace/tyre deg may not be enough on Sunday, but what a lap from our ragazzo. The sprint quali and race tomorrow is a distraction as far as I am comcerned, but there may be extra points to be had if today is any sign of what the car can do on this circuit. Carlos at least managed 2nd row but a troubled session for him and he is no Charles, sorry to say.

No kidding. Especially considering most of our competitors brought updates makes this even more exciting. Might be the SF23 can be a pretty good car once the updates arrive.... although it is only qualy and it all might just be track specific. Fingers crossed that Ferrari have turned a corner.

According to the SQ(Sprint Qualifying) rules, drivers must use mediums tires during SQ1 and SQ2. Then in SQ3, IF the drivers qualify, they must use soft tires.

Norris and Tsunoda took a gamble today(Friday) and don't have any more soft tires for SQ3 should they make it that far........meaning they won't race during the SQ3 round. They are SOL.

Only qualifying but I am very please to see Ferrari at the front.
Hopefully this is a sign of good progress we are making with the car, but I'm pretty sure Charles also put in a super drive for that pole

at street circuits better drivers shine, and whatever car advantages they give Max over Perez, don't work as well. Perez always outqualifies Max at street circuits, and the only reason he didn't today is because they forced Perez to give Max a toe.

So what you're noticing is not Sainz's inferiority, but just how mediocre Max is.

what you saw today was all driver. The best street circuit driver i've seen since Michael Schumacher.

    Ferrari updates: LDF rear wing

RedBull updates: sidepod inlet, coke/engine cover, floor edges, floor fences, rear corner.

We should not believe that we are completely back...but clearly the picture is much more positive and maybe the season is not already over.Sainz must be No.2 driver...i dont care about Santanter...
When Red Bull opens the DRS is like they push the NITRO button...if we can find something close to this then we will be much more close to them.

Could be that we finally found a setup and the suspension configuration to run the car lower like intended. Would be a great step if this gets confirmed.

Well done Charles. Like he said the tyres were probably done for the second run.

Don't think we will get a win this weekend because I still think degredation will be our achilles heel but it's nice to see this level of competitiveness
