supposedly LOTS of rain in the next few days, and even for race day my get 50/50 chances of a wet race; we'll see how it's gonna pan out in the next few days

what is Ferrari bringing for this race in terms of updates?? as i've heard rumors that the so called "upgraded suspension" now will ONLY arrive in Barcelona.

Teams have been told to evacuate the area for the time being due to the amount of rain.

hope you have fun there this weekend Stefa. OH, and make sure you pack a poncho as well as an umbrella...just in case

i TOO am hoping for a decent result from Ferrari and our drivers, but given the form we had so far this year, i'm not overly confident to say the least

    anyway, Forza Ferrari!!!

    Imola update:

    - Roads and bridges in the area are closed
    - Staff told not to go to the circuit
    - Main paddock appears ok but the F2 and support areas have some water
    - Meeting due to take place this morning to discuss the situation. Today at 14h00 there will be an update about Imola general situation.

Taking this road from Faenza to Imola is no longer an option.

The Italian PM is talking about cancelling the GP to focus on the current crisis affecting the area. Nothing confirmed yet. We wait.

In the past I would have been annoyed but with so many races and Ferrari not being very good at present I'm quite happy. They didn't have new suspension here so would have been 100 percent rubbish performance. At least now its one less race rivals can extend lead over Ferrari before New suspension is ready (assuming new suspension is a big net improvement compared to rivals).

I wouldn't start counting "your chickens" just yet.....Ferrari are very good at botching up upgrades as we've seen numerous times in the past....

The right decision. Saving lives and helping those who have been affected are far more important than having a grand prix.

I have seen so many pics and videos of the surrounding town and river(next to the track). Massive flooding. People being helo'd out of their homes.

The rain won't let up for the next 7 to 8 days with 70% chance forecasted.

These people are gonna need global assistance.

Yes you are 100% right. Based on past 15 years the suspension update is likely to not make much difference but if it does 1 race less before it's available is a good thing.

Cancelling was the right thing to do and for once the FIA has acted quickly and conclusively. Thoughts go out to those affected on so many levels and poor stefa with a ruined weekend on his hands. I feel for them all.
