    Qatar practice & qualifying thread.

Charles did the best he could to-day. The Mercs & McLaren's are looking a threat.

Car was horrible to drive…. Somehow Charles managed to keep it on track especially in S1.

Looks like we are 5th fastest team here. Really this car is unpredictable.

What a waste it has been, considering how good the F1-75 was. Even after the TD39, it still performed great in corners. And after more than a year of "development", this is what we get, an understeery mess that losses the rear in mid-croner where high speed is involved and downforce is most needed.

Thank you Binotto you ******* clown.

Leclerc to P5, Piastri lap time deleted.

Mercs P2 & P3… seems like they are good on go green tracks with not much grip.

The Merc has a very strong front end and it has always been good in high speed corners. They were very good in Spain, Silverstone and Hungary, tracks where high-medium speed downforce matters.

The Merc is also quite good at looking after its tyres. So overall, Qatar is well-suited for them.

Expecting the Mercs to finish P2 and P3. Charles can hope for P4 but keeping the Mclarens behind will be almost impossible.

next year everything changes because both Ferrari and Mercedes are going to adopt the suspension concept that Red Bull And McLaren have

the binotto bashing is a bit unnecessary, even Merc didn't change concepts. and that's what it is going to take to make this car competitive. And who knows, without TD39, maybe it would have been possible to continue with this concept.

2019 engine saga & we were handicapped in 2020/2021.
Come 2022 we started well but there was no development on that car. Look at RB, how they started & where they ended. SF-23 too was designed under Mattia’s leadership.

5 years we were not able to produce a good car to fight for championship.

2017/2018 was a good base to build a strong car

Battle of the rest.Red bull as we know by now are untouchable this year.Max will win N3 title this week way way to good this year.As for Sergio perez who knows what the future holds with red bull is his car the same as verstappens who knows that is open for debate and the truth will never be known,Perez probably has a gag order on him and can't talk.Best of the rest enjoy the final races and may the better team win.

Good job by Mclaren. Nowhere in Bahrain and now the 2nd fastest car.

Mclaren are a serious threat next season. Might give tough time to RB in WCC.

That’s how progress can be made. Everyone saying finding the lap time under this budget cap isn’t possible.

They gave the time for this year & getting the benefits now.

5th and 6th for the sprint race is probably the best we could expect. Those McLarens are a real threat now and it doesn't bode well for next year unless our time has come and we have a mighty car.

If somehow next year we find the pace and RB somehow struggling then it could be the classic Ferrari vs McLaren from old days haha

McLaren just shows everyone how it's done. Next time anyone says something is impossible, it's just an excuse.

Yup…!! I was expecting the same from Mattia-Ferrari in 2022
When we gave up 2020 & 2021 development years. It’s completely failed.

Ferrari should come out ego/politics & try to copy RB design & build it from there.

Sprint quali lap time deletions and tyre issues turned it into a farce, and those Mclarens have shocked everyone, shows it can be done. The SF23 and wind don't mix, that's for sure.

5th/6th is the best we can do. This track and conditions really highlight the frailties with the SF23.

Not looking forward to the remaining races as just feel like we will be highly Inferior to Mercedes and McLaren. Might fare better in Vegas but that's about it.

I share your feelings, it must be so frustrating for our drivers with one hand tied behind their backs, and particularly with a car that doesn't suit Charles' driving style.

    good point Kyss4k!

it's not like they had nothing to lose, more development budget and time, and completely copied Red Bull's concept!
