Not sure about the F1 but team names are certainly becoming a joke.

And Fred is backing him (finally) as the number 1 driver and building the team around him.

Charles is Ferrari's present and future.

Fred still insists both drivers will be treated equal ,no #1 driver even with Carlos fantastic win ! Give. Charles a chance, I'm sure he can win one also.

They got slammed by fans for this. Hopefully will change it sooner than later to something sounding more... like a team name.

Yes, Vasseur has now confirmed Leclerc as number 1 driver in need of at least 1 win in 2024. I believe he will do it. With no team orders they will fight for the wins and points.

Carlos lost out on points in Las Vegas through no fault of his own. He would have been the top point setter and race winner @ Ferrari' Our drivers should be sent out to race as equals and see how the race goes. No team orders before a race. Charles is for sure equal as a winner to Carlos and most every other driver.

The reality is that Fred was backing him from day 1, but they had to play this carefully with Team Sainz given the sponsorship from some big Spanish brands within the team.

When Estrella didn't renew, that was the proof that the team could not guarantee Sainz was going to be given a contract extension; as the Spanish companies typically had a proviso that they would only sponsor the team if they had a Spanish driver.

Lapo Elkann openly rubbishing Santander was another sign that Ferrari was cleaning shop and getting rid of the Spanish influence within their team.

    Everything is coming together nicely.

Ferrari must be sure not to let their winning driver get away! More important than nationality are the drivers results. No driver on any team could win a race against R Bull except Carlos and his Ferrari. The Spanish influence was a win!

Finally. Nothing is bigger than the Scuderia.

Leclerc did 72 laps in the SF-23 yesterday.
    Sainz did 90 laps.

Ollie Bearman drives the F1-75 today at the Circuit de Catalunya today.

Coming together or falling apart? Where have all the sponsors gone? That big win last season was a big Spanish influence. Getting rid of it leaves Ferrari with the same zeros as all the other teams. Give Las Vegas another year and Monaco will be just another race. Coming together nicely IMO will be when Charles wins some races along with Madrid!

This is utter . Their "reason" is nonsensical when you look at Haas. There has to be another reason but I don't know what it is.

Edit: The reasoning behind this is totally flawed, I'm sure there is a hidden reason for their decision here, there has to be. Could it be that they are just flexing their muscles against the fia and telling them that they are in charge?

There are several reasons for declining Andretti an F1 entry.

    Like you said, it's utter.

So let me get this straight, F1 will open several F1 tracks in the States but won't let another American F1 team join F1....makes sense

Makes no sense if true…Ferrari finally declare Leclerc #1 after all these years and then go make a move like this? What the heck is Ferrari thinking?

Exactly. The big news may be that Sainz is on the way out early. : pray: pray

Seeing the back of Sainz early would be a beautiful gift!
