I don't think we had an F1 season before with 3 Saturday races.

This is due to Ramadan in this part of the world. It's a religious ceremony.

At least it starts 1 day earlier. The wait feels so long.

I have a good feeling about the car. Only thing is I hope they managed to keep their quali pace.
Allison seems.to think we're ahead of Merc on one lap pace so there is some optimism.
But man, if Leclerc (or Carlo),can slam out a pole position lap at the first race, that would be epic.

I think Allison and Davidson, both of them seem to have forgotten that Ferrari had the measure of Mercedes in Brazil, Vegas and Abu Dhabi. And with better luck and better strategy, Ferrari would've finished ahead of the Merc in Mexico and Austin.

After the Suzuka floor upgrade, Mercedes lost whatever advantage they had over Ferrari over the race distance.

The SF24 is a massive upgrade over the SF23-post Suzuka spec. So, Mercedes have to make an even bigger step than what Ferrari did with the SF24, and I don't think they have been able to manage that.

New Year and new cars. Last year doesn't really matter. Right now we only have testing to give us some insight, but I'm hopeful Ferrari can take the fight to RedBull.

But for some reason, Merc seem to think they are quicker than us in race pace. Hopefully we prove them wrong.

If Ferrari gives Saintz a good car he will be doing some wins for the team! He needs a job come next year.

    Something like that.
My " logical " wish is to be like around 2/3 tenths behind RB and the 3d to be 3+ tenths behind us.
If we start like this I think we have a good chance foe a very good championship for us.

Again with the more unloaded wings .
So 2 things , either we still has efficiency issue's, or we have very good dnf from the body/bottom. But RBs that supposedly has the most dnf from the car , still runs the more loaded wings ??!!!!

Bahrain has 4 straights, so I don't see any problem with the medium downforce wing.

i dont think that we have efficiency issues, its just RB is so aerodynamically efficient that they can afford this tradeoff for even better tyre management.

Our car is also efficient hence the good top speed but not to the point we can make a tradeoff...at least yet..

I know it's just FP1 and in conditions that is not ideal for the race ,but from these 1st runs looks like for real Merc is up there with us (even 1 tenth faster) and we are having the ideal set up .Both Lec and Sainz had their times with the rear end. What we saw in testing from Merc (unstable rear end) now we have it.
Hope it's just a not ideal set up and we will fix it .

Do you think it's possible to get it corrected in time for Quali?

Idk, I think we must wait for FP2 to see the race simulation

Bahrain has very stong wind so it's maybe hard to fix it

McLaren almost half a second up on Verstappen, Mercedes looks strong, and Ferrari nearly 1 second off the pace. Early days, but concerning.

And Hass?? 5 second off the pace? Wow, embarrassing.

Personally, I feel we'd get a much better picture of our real pace tomorrow. Given that, Ricciardo just set the fastest lap (as of now).
    I don't think we'd be that far off the pace ( I hope ).
