That's the craziest crash I've ever seen someone walk from.

Glad RG is ok. Taken to medical Center.
Horrible scene, car broken into half.
Has the halo just saved his life?
Forza Ferrari
Monocoque under the armco looks like a smashed tin jeez
Thank heavens for the halo

That engine is embedded in the railing......
It's not how start but how you finish.
Burns on legs apparently. Replay looks just horrible.
Bravo medical car team
Get worse the more you see it, so lucky to have gotten out of the car.
Forza Ferrari
Not sure why they have a non-tyre barrier there in that angle. Really easy to be a Monday morning quarterback but that is nuts.
Given there is floodlights I think there will be a restart but might take 2-3 hours unless they decide to build a completely new tyre barrier for tomorrow..
His helmet looked melted
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Shocking
Thank goodness Romain is okay.
"I've always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting even when there's only a slightest chance." - Michael Schumacher
Monocoque and Halo saved him.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Romain has some minor burns on his hands and ankles but otherwise he is ok. He is with the doctors just now.
@Haas team
Romain has minor burns to his hands and ankles....he is okay.

It is amazing that RG has just bruises!
I’m sure FIA will investigate this in length. They along with all teams will evaluate why car was split in two pieces, and make sure this is not repeated
Unfortunately it was his error, misjudged that he has passed that Alpha Tauri
That was difficult to watch, so glad he was able to quickly escape.
The car monocoque did every miracle it was supposed to do today.
