I just read that Vettel lifted the throttle in the 3 sector in the second session, is that true?

He did yes in testing at Barcelona .
Hero's come and go, but legends never die!
From his on-board it's quite clear that he's not accelerating that hard after a couple of corners in the last sector.
But if you watch Bottas's lap it's also evident that he's not really pulling the revs too. Shifting a tad early. So all in all both Mercedes and Ferrari weren't pushing.

Ideal lap of Seb is 1:23:7
Hams is 1:23:5
So ideal laps just 0,2 dif
Lets wait and see!!
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
I don't know about you guys but right now I'm really depressed and worried. I'd dearly LOVE our cars to be on the pace of the Mercs, not sure I can bear another season of the Merc strolling away in the distance race after race. 4 years of that garbage is more than I can take.
I just hope and hope and have all my fingers crossed and am wishing we have a very good race car. Go Seb and Kimi!

This track has been the one where Merc have on average held the biggest laptime gap over rivals on average since 2014. Ferrari gap to Merc since 2014 is 14 = 1.6secs, 15 = 1.4secs, 16 = 0.9secs. If they can hold to 0.5 or better this year it is a big improvement for the 4th consecutive year in qualifying at this track. The previous post showing ideal lap times was really interesting though, keeps me happy at least until 10 hours time when the truth on quali pace at this track will be out.
Any ideal where can i watch the live race from internet
In terms of engine performance, Ferrari appear to have made a big step forward. Sainz Jr and Grosjean put some good laps in too. I just get a positive vibe from Ferrari this year compared to previous years. The car looks great, drivers seem confident... Whether we are quicker than Mercedes remains to be seen but I'm very confident we are a lot closer
Based on the statements from Vettel, Raikkonen and MA, they all didn't sound positive at all after practice sessions.
On other news..Giovinazzi will replace Wehrlein as he is not fit enough to complete full race distance..

Ferrari man Giovanazzi in for Weihrlein at Sauber.
I think for anyone disappointed by our FP1/2 form, remember the following:
We were P2 and P4 with self proclaimed balance issues.
In 2016, we were all complaining when we were down in P5/6 when we had balance issues.
Clearly we've improved. Just because we aren't dominating Mercedes doesn't mean we haven't done an amazing job. Remember - no one has been able to achieve that over the last 3 years! Not even the mighty Adrian Newey.
I'm proud of the team. It's been a solid effort and a solid performance so far this weekend. Looking forward to whatever else is in store!
Bring on FP3/quali

I miss Oskari Saari already. Juusela is not filling his shoes quite well
Edit: About Finnish broadcast...
A 1:23.9 for Seb on lap 4 of a run. Looking alright for today.
1:23.989 for Vettel but no improvement in S3

Giovinazzi is giving it the beans for a first timer
The lack of live timing on the screen is frustrating, just a countdown of how many minutes left
Bottas 0.6 slower on SS then Vettel
Hamilton 0.553 behind on SS to Vettel
