Something feels off with the new F1 logo.
It doesn't look like the letters "F1"

Don't understand the need to change the F1 logo anyway

Yeah, i don't understand dropping a historic logo for something a kid can do in paint. When you make a new logo at least you need to beat the old one.

Pretty happy I didn't watch this race lol... seems Ferrari has a lot of development needed on the engine side to properly challenge Mercedes next year.... that may prove to be a monumental task...

Really disliking these cost cutting measures....

I agree...make the F more futuristic with the "dash" still in it.

It sure seems that way.....25sec lead during this race and Kimi was super slow all due to fuel savings.

Thanks for that but I still don't understand how the Hulk managed to grab Felipe's 10th in the WDC when they're on the same points and neither has finished higher than 6th in a race. Am I missing something? Also imagine if Mad Max hadn't had all those retirements (7) and Seb hadn't had the problems of Baku, Silverstone, Singapore and Japan. HAM probably wouldn't be laughing then.

Agreed Wisepie Ham certainly would not be 4 times WDC. He was lucky this year but F1 backwards is "if".
Unfortunately Seb & Max's misfortunes are rather like the big fish that got away.

gonna have to follow up on that one wisepie.

So who used most power-unit components in 2017 season?

    Grand total average:

    1. #Mercedes 3.6
    2. #Ferrari 4.1
    3. #Renault 5.1
    4. #Honda 9.1

In the event of any ties for position, the driver with superior race results (based on descending order, from number of wins to numbers of second-places down) will gain precedence.

The reason why Hülkenberg finished ahead of Felipe in the WDC was because he scored four 6th places to Felipe's two. Additional best results (as in Hülkenberg's case) is king. I was hoping Perez would finish within 5 seconds of Hülkenberg (because of his penalty) but he never managed that. One would think Renault would tell him to take it easy as a 7th place would give 6th to Renault anyway but he went for that 10th position in the WDC. Still, Sainz was the best of the rest this year.

Thanks for the explanation but looking at the results overall, Felipe had more points finishes than Hulk (13-8), so it doesn't seem fair to me. But I guess it's always been that way, a bit like 2008 when Felipe lost out big-time.

Abu Dhabi: 93 (28 mit DRS) vs. 5 (keines mit DRS): 88 less overtakes

I don't know why they didn't have data for Azerbaijan or Austria. Under the new regs dirty air will not benefit overtaking. Only in Mexico and GP it seems we saw more overtakes. I suppose Mexico was aided by the first lap mess and GP was seeing some exciting weather conditions this year.

Interesting side note is that they improved on lap time with every track but the high speed track Monza saw a reduction in lap time by 1.7 sec. The other high speed track Spa saw an improvement by 5 sec.
