Most Ferrari poles in one year:

    Schumacher 11 (2001)
    Lauda 9 (1975)
    Schumacher 9 (2000)
    Lauda 8 (1974)
    Schumacher 8 (2004)
    Schumacher 7 (2002)
    Ascari 6 (1953)
    Fangio 6 (1956)
    Massa 6 (2007)
    Massa 6 (2008)
    Leclerc 6 (2019)
    Ascari 5 (1952)
    Hill 5 (1961)
    Schumacher 5 (2003)

    Total Ferrari poles:

Vettel 11 (2015: SIN, 2017: RUS, HUN, SIN, MEX, 2018: BHR, CHN, AZE, CAN, GER, 2019: CAN)
Räikkönen 7 (2007: AUS, EUR, BEL, 2008: ESP, FRA, 2017: MON, 2018: ITA)
Leclerc 6 (2019: BHR, AUT, BEL, ITA, SIN, RUS)

... closing in really fast. Has more Ferrari poles than Alonso (4) as well, although given the state of the 2010-2014 cars it might be an unfair comparison. Fernando was one our fastest ever drivers and he's eclipsed his numbers of poles in a second-best car in just six months and also is one pole lap away from equalling our latest World Champion. He's incredibly fast and long may it last. It's also noteworthy that Michael in the late 90's never grabbed more than four in one season for us and didn't get to five even in 2006. So to get six in a year we don't have a car to win either title is a tremendous achievement.

    Michael's pole streak:

1996: 4 (SMR, MON, FRA, HUN)
    1997: 3 (CAN, FRA, HUN)
    1998: 3 (ITA, LUX, JPN)
    1999: 3 (CAN, MAL, JPN)
2000: 9 (ESP, MON, CAN, FRA, HUN, ITA, USA, JPN, MAL)
2001: 11 (AUS, MAL, BRA, ESP, AUT, CAN, EUR, GBR, HUN, USA, JPN)
2002: 7 (MAL, SMR, ESP, GER, BEL, USA, JPN)
2003: 5 (AUS, SMR, ESP, AUT, ITA)
2004: 8 (AUS, MAL, BHR, ESP, EUR, GER, HUN, JPN)
    2005: 1 (HUN)
2006: 4 (BHR, SMR, USA, FRA)

That means he only bettered Leclerc's 2019 total four times in eleven seasons.

He may well also not be done for this season just yet Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi are clear pole opportunities for him.

For me Micheal is a legend, none can match his flair.
If anyone is there, then it’s always after MS.

90’s era is different from the current one. With the current tech, drivers have simulators/data to get the perfection where he can correct himself which is isn’t there in the past at least few of them.

Michael is the best ever, no doubt, so to have Charles get that many poles is a compliment to him rather than a smackdown of our legend. One more this season and he's at a level where only Michael and Niki have been at for us.

Ferrari has to remember to tell Seb to let Charles pass when he can, so as to be a true Schumy great, Charles needs a wing man also.

If this helps one of the drivers to win the WDC then yes, it should be done.

At this point WDC is out of reach. Also if Charles have the chances to win WDC, then it’s the same for Max, vettel & Bottas too.

Bottas has the contract that no to take championship away from Ham. So he backed out already.
    So it between Ham/Lec/max/vettel.

Of course, Given current form Lec is the real deal. But still WDC is out of reach. I think WCC is within our reach if we have 1-2 finishes & 1DNF from mercs.

I'm glad we agree. I'm referring to the rest of 2019, next year and so on. If Charles continues to be in this winning form [ down force or no down force!] he should be treated like Schumy. Ferrari needs to be back as the top team with a top driver. Enough with Lewis already.

We still need Max but both him and Charles will never do any team orders. Even Stroll will be better than Seb. Grosejean meanwhile is still the champion crash king. One of the commentators during the race referred to Seb as Shumy Jr. !!!! He must read my posts !!! Forget that name, Seb should be Rubinio . What else can Charles do to show he's #1 @ Ferrari not a 4x WDC with the enemy at the time. That should be held against him not in favor. Just like Lewis' car is the winner not the driver, that went for finger in the air Seb too at the time with R Bull. Look at him now !

Well I rate Max quite highly, and consider him, Lec and Ham as the current top 3 in F1. But on the other hand, I don't want Max at Ferrari. Lec and Max would make each other look worse then they actually are.
What Ferrari need is a solid number 2 driver. Because Vettel's ego is just too big for him to play the number 2 role, even if his almost rookie teammate beating him in the points table with more wins, poles and podiums.

Max out of RB, will be even worse. Just like DR & Vettel.
    Gio is better than max.

Put Gio in Seb's car now and I would agree. Esp. if they continue to do all they are trying to do to help Seb save his rep. Gio would probably take the Ferrari seat for 3 million. And he speaks Italian . Oh ! And he's sooo much younger than Seb. The future looks bright ahead. Max finished 4th after getting a grid penalty just missing a podium. Max has lost his former F-1 position as crash king, giving it back to Grosjean who returning to his former ways is back on top. Max now has to settle for his podiums and wins .

Just because Kvyat has trouble pronouncing his name doesn't mean he's not dong better than Seb. Grid girls back in F-1 would be a great help, esp. last race. Seb's fans would have had something to cheer for ! Juast after 17 laps, drivers 5th pl. to last , all had to smell Max"s exhaust. Grid girl chassis are whats needed by all teams, and fans!

Not as bad as Seb. He missed the race ,zero points. Charles is Ferrari's saving grace, until they can get MAX, or Lewis, Charles will be the points and wins driver all on his own . Just shut the radio.

    Until they get max
Earlier “Ferrari needs max” .... now we have Charles.
What a drastic change. Tomorrow we can expect further changes
    Let’s maldonize Max
