I think they should have a weekend where all the top 10 drivers have a race with one spec car like in indy car. same engine limited to boost and not one hp more then the other the only thing you can do is wing adjustments. Qualify then have a race. Then we will see who's the best.

Speed traps: both Seb and Gro were the fastest, so I'm wondering if they were using the latest engines with the steel pistons. Also, is it possible that the Honda engine is now more powerful than the one year old Ferrari engine in the Sauber? If true, then Honda has certainly come good on both performance and reliability!

Ferrari: Great car in the second half of 2017. The team sucks though. Not the best strategists, immature leading driver, somewhat unreliable PU. It will take a miracle to overcome all the deficiencies shown by the team/hardare in order for Seb to be crowned champion, unfortunately. (Hopefully we won't be penalized 5 grid positions in Suzuka).

And I thought everything was going well the FIRST half of the season. Its the second half that seems to be taking a nose dive with regards to the car and its issues.

I'm sure same goes for Schumacher? Brazil 2012 rings a bell?

well, when you have 7 titles under your belt, as opposed to 2, you can be pretty happy about your career

    Period.
+1, and Hamilton has been the main beneficiary for the past 4 seasons both for poles and wins.

When Schumacher's engine expired in 2006 Suzuka (Alonso gave Schumi the finger when passing the stricken Ferrari), Micheal went to the garage and shaked the hands of all of the mechanics. In 2012 he got like 6 mechanical DNFs (his teammate Rosberg had none), he did not say a single bad word about the team.

As for Alonso, "Renault does not want me to win the championship". @McLaren everyone remembers what happened including blackmailing his own team. When he was driving for Ferrari and was asked what he wants for Christmas, he told "someone else's car". "GP2 engine" (of all places at Suzuka), etc ....

Alonso is in it for himself, does not know what the word team means. That is why all of the top teams have been closing the door.

They are all in it for their self, Schumacher was not driving for us out of the goodness of his heart LOL and he had plenty of get out clauses he would not have stuck around if we were not winning.

As he could see where it was going 97 and 98 he was close to winning the titles, 99 would have been his.

Everyone in everything have self-interest except family and best friends. That's why Michael signed for Merc for only $3M, because his dear friend Brawn asked him.

Yeah you are right. Don't know why i had 3 million in memory, maybe from speculation news before he signed. Nico was payed more in 2012 though, 10M. Interesting. Nevertheless, Michael didn't sign for those measly 8M, he was almost a billionaire. I think he was doing Brawn a favor.

Or maybe Merc came knocking for investing money in him before his F1 career? Sounds crazy though
