    2019 CanadianGP: Practices & Qualifying

Let's see how we do on this track.
It's not how start but how you finish.

I’m not getting my hopes up, but anything will be better then the last few races, apart from last when we accidentally ended up on the 2nd step and NOT on merit
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

but i'm in Montreal this weekend and i'll enjoy it as much as i can....weather is amazing, drinking some COLD beers on hte patios....and if Ferrari will pull somthing out of their sleeve this weekend, it will be that MUCH BETTER.....

I do not have any high hopes, so just enjoying F1 and if we get good result, that is a bonus, Mercs has been so strong this year.

This is a race that Merc might be inclined to gift to Ferrari in order to create a fake impression that the championship battles are going to become closer. But in that case they will probably be more inclined to gift it to Leclerc as he's further back in the championship. They will then blame it on turning down the new PU as a precaution as it's the first race out of the box. But if Bottas has the upper hand on Hamilton, like he had last year, they will not do it as Merc knows that having a WDC battle between Hamilton and Bottas is the best way to keep the masses interested at least a few more races. Also much more realistic than Seb catching both of them in the points. If Seb will seem like genuinely the fastest driver out there then Merc might try harder compared to if Leclerc is the fastest.

Mercedes not even a second ahead of the next best team, dark times ahead for the Silver Arrows.

Ferrari didn't use the softer tyres, Merc did.
What's the alleged time difference between the yellow and red tyres here?

It's not going to be as bad as it looks. Ferrari may not be the fastest car here, but it's not gonna end up 1-second behind Mercedes.
