Wishful thinking, but sadly the red bull and Merc have a way better car with loads more downforce....of course anything is possible, just like me matching 6 out of 6 #’s in lotto....but the most I matched was 4/6...lol

Could be a chance for at least a podium. Qualifying can be a lottery in Monaco, and if he places his car right we may have a chance.

yeah, I mean if ferrari do win a race this year, realistically where is it gonna be?

It's what we all wish for but we have to be realistic and a podium would probably be more achievable. His record at Monaco hasn't been good so he's due a lucky break this time!

In a general sense, there's quit alot of photos of preparation for tomorrow.....since last week Friday. None from Ferrari though except Charles and Carlos arriving in a Ferrari.
It's not how start but how you finish.

Mechanical issues for Leclerc, while Sainz is leading the session (for now).

Gearbox problem. His session is over.

    Charles's Monaco curse continues.

    "Leclerc out of FP1
And that is why it is such a blow to hear the news coming out of Ferrari - Leclerc's engine issue is a suspected gearbox problem and that means the Monegasque is almost certainly out of this session after just four laps."

but if they replace the gearbox for FP2 there's no penalty right?

As expected, the car is working well here. I just hope Charles will have a clean weekend from now on, his bad luck here is unbelievable.

Let's pray that this will be the only problem he encounters at his home race, hope it can be sorted for FP2. Carlos making up for it, though.

So the car must have good mechanical grip as this track is mostly slow to medium speed corners....something the sf1000 lacked quite a bit last year....now only if our donkey engine would have another 20 hp. Where would we be this year....

I’m sure no ones pushing flat out now, it’s only free practice....
The times we’ll be in the 1:09 me thinks come quali....we’ll see how quick Ferrari will be then

I, like every other Ferrari fan, wanted this year to be very competitive. Maybe if we had the same rules the next year maybe we would have been competitive.
But honestly, we have to be realistic.
Each team, no matter its history, takes time to find its sweet spot.
Also, I'm pretty sure there are 1000 factors that contribute to a team being competitive that we'll never know.
I guess we have to be a little more patient?

That's why I'm mad at him... no need to be doing this when you know it's all for nothing lol
