It's amazing how Abu Dhabi passed the season with temps in the 100s F. and now come race time there, it's freezing over in the 70s and 80s F. Is Ferrari behind this? The FIA will probably check it out. A Charles , or Seb win will help us fans make it through the winter break!

Because they used one extra sets of soft tyres during yesterday's FP2 qualifying sim. Pretty understandable, since it is a night race.

Oh ok.... seems like Merc & RB are flying. We are 3rd best here.
Same old issue S3, tyres getting overheated

On mediums, only 3 tenths behind Mercedes who are on softs.

If we're within three and a half tenths on a hot track on mediums that don't grip at all in S3 on one lap - we should be flying on softs in qualifying.

Entirely pointless practice session. What's the logic behind having two practice session's under day light when both quali and race will be held under night time with cooler track condition.

    Best sectors (top 6):

    Sector 1:
    Leclerc 17.075 (medium tyre)
    Verstappen 17.080
    Vettel 17.085 (medium tyre)
    Albon 17.217
    Bottas 17.252
    Hamilton 17.284

    Sector 2:
    Verstappen 41.255
    Leclerc 41.277 (medium tyre)
    Vettel 41.313 (medium tyre)
    Bottas 41.369
    Hamilton 41.425
    Albon 41.537

    Sector 3:
    Hamilton 37.747
    Bottas 38.014
    Albon 38.027
    Verstappen 38.213

    Vettel 38.577 (medium tyre)
    Leclerc 38.649 (medium tyre)

Ferrari were the only team who didn't run with new softs during FP3, everyone else set their fastest time on new sets of soft tyres.

I'm afraid we have no chance. We just lose SO much in S3!!!! And here is the question. Everybody is talking about how fast we where on straights and that we lost this edge in the last 2-3 races, BUT i see that we didnt lose anything on the straights (power wise) but we are again so poor in the corners. We look like pre Singapore form. After Singapore update we where quite strong in the corners, almost muching Merc and Redbull and still keep out superiority in the straights. Now we look like we are again in our pre summer form???!!!!!!!

I think the faster the track will be, the faster our car will get since S3 will just grip up more and more. In Singapore we got better and better the further qualifying went.
