In bahrain, we turned down the turbo may be thats why RB were close to us. Ric & Ves claiming RB have found much of time & close the gap to ferrari .
Yep there also assuming the upgrades in Spain will automatically make them fastest most arrogant team in f1

They don't target Mercs, they only target Ferrari. Pretty much sums it up.

I'm a bit confused, when does the oil combustion thing that Mercs use to beat everyone in Quali gets banned?

15:00 Bottas just has the edge on Raikkonen at the start of this run, although he is on the ultra-softs compared to the super-softs. Vettel, also on the ultras, is 0.5s quicker than Bottas on the first lap. - long runs

15:07 Vettel's posted the slowest time of this run, a 1m39.434s. That's dropped off by about half a second, but the Mercedes aren't quicker than that right now. So it's still quite impressive from the Ferrari.

seems we have more edge on mercs right now.
It will be tight between mercs & ferrari In quali. Come race day, ferrari have good edge particularly on US.

Merc definitely heavier, but qualifying gap should be back to Aus/china levels after the shock in Bahrain. Looks like it'll be a good race for us! Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and to plan... the plan being first Ferrari 1-2 in... 9 years??

heavier i don't think so. It's a one stop race. So performance on US should be long & effective then they can switch to Softs or SS accordingly.

15:16 Hamilton's switched to the super-softs after an unhappy, erratic stint on ultras. He didn't have the peaks of team-mate Bottas, either.

As per my earlier comment. Mercs doesn't feel secure on US tyres.

15:17 Vettel has the edge on this long run so far. He's about a tenth a lap on average faster than Bottas, with Raikkonen another tenth and a bit back on the super-softs.

Ham average race pace is now faster than Vet, and they are assuming Mercs are lil heavier too

he was struggling on US tyres. He never matched Vet's pace, not even his team mate's Botta's pace too. How can he be faster than Vet.

15:24 Vettel's kicked off his super-soft efforts with a 1m37.478s, which compares very favourably to Hamilton – his first lap was a 1m38.880s, and his best time is a 1m38.359s. - on SS tyres.

What tyre do you think Ferrari should start the race with?

Bottas & ham were on US earlier for long runs, where their pace was no where near to Vet on US. At that time Kimi was on SS.
Later Mercs switched to SS. Even Kimi to US & Vet to SS.

    Obviously US
    1) Ferrari had good pace on it & can run long.
    2) Mercs struggling with US.

As it's one stop strategy. The team which has good pace on US & can run long on it have good advantage.

    Great session!

Remember right now though everyone! Come qualifying, if we are not on pole, it's not the end of the world! I know the sky will fall (again) even though this should be the expectation. Set lower expectations and allow yourself to be positively surprised!!

Good one lap pace, good race pace, Kimi seems happy with balance. Friday couldn't have gone better. Forza Ferrari!

Good session. Hope we get the Pole here - it is been long overdue. Also when is the oil-fuel combustion cheat mode of Mercedes getting banned? So whatever Horner was barking during Winter break was true after all. Bring it on, then!

    Forza Ferrari !!
